Most of us know who some of each other are--Tyler and I have been friends for months--but I don't think we *all* know who the others are. Well. Okay. *I* do, but I don't know about the rest of you. I mean, I'm pretty sure Jules and Shinobu haven't had the chance to meet, because Jules got here *after* the weird weekend, but in time to have made it to Goldenrod before Shinobu ended up here. But anyway.

We're all Changelings. And if everyone's headed to Sinnoh, I think it might be nice to have a meet-up somewhere during our stay there. Hang out. Maybe do some tourist crap.

What do you guys think?

oh hey yeah that sounds like it could be a good time, I have exhausted the tourist options in Goldenrod and would like to see tourist options that are not filled to the brim with gigantic bugs

But yeah. There should be some cool things around. There's a museum, at least, and some famous statues and stuff. I'm supposed to do a piece on 'An Otherworld Tourist's View of Sinnoh,' so I definitely need to hit them all up.

I forget--*have* you met Tyler face to face yet? He's been with Lydia in Ecruteak a *lot* lately.

Has anyone had their pokemon download Auslan into your brain yet? Because it's as useful as hell for talking to Tyler--not that Isis won't interpret for him otherwise.

Tyler's deaf, if you didn't know. And he doesn't read lips because screw that nonsense. Which means that he's got Isis, his little Natu, playing psychic interpreter--but it's easier on him when people can sign. And Lydia's got some pokemon in the Abra family that keep AUSLAN dictionaries in their heads that they can dump into other people's own as a shortcut for that.

Yeah! There was this thing in the FAQ bundle they sent to our gears about it. People to contact to get you to Goldenrod on time for everyone to leave. Gimme a sec and I'll call up the number you need to contact.

[And he'll do just that. Handwavily, because we don't know what the number is ICly.]

Just talk to them and they'll send someone over to get you over to Goldenrod in time so you can leave with us.

I have to admit it feels strange going on a vacation two weeks after arriving.

Given that it's possibly our only chance to visit Sinnoh, I say just go for it anyway. Think of it less as a vacation and more as a new kind of 'Pokemon Adventure.'

That's probably the best way to look at it - I've never been good with 'vacations' anyway.

I don't mind them—but after having to miss work for a couple weeks due to some pretty complicated shit, I'm not entirely ready to just take the entire trip off either. Luckily, I talked with my bosses at the Tower and they're going to let me do this as a sort of working vacation, where I'll be recording things for an upcoming segment on the town channel about the otherworldly perspective on Sinnoh.

If you want to tag along to some of the places I'm going to for it, you can. Maybe I can even interview you.

I might pass on the interview, though, although I suppose my "blessing's" effect on my Mask is a moot point now.

I mean, it's on the radio, so they won't see your face, but I do get it. It's not the same thing, but there *is* a reason I went into radio here instead of television.

(I'm definitely hoping to make the transition to actual on-air presenter by this winter. I've finally got the last qualification they want for it at this point, so now it's just... waiting for when there's a space for me, I guess. And doing little pre-recorded segments like this in the meantime.)

How long have you been doing broadcast work here?

I've been working at the Radio Tower since 2-3 weeks after I got here? But the first couple months I was just at the receptions desk in the lobby. They let me into the newsroom in May and the first time they let me do a pre-recorded segment was back in June. It was for the Town Channel that time too--the retrospective about the incident with Kurt, Team Rocket, and the Slowpoke Well?

The, ah, first incident. Since Team Rocket went and attacked him again a couple days after my segment aired. I suppose they didn't like the reminder of an old embarrassment.

[Actually, Steven's piece on the first Slowpoke Well incident was his sneaky way of casing the joint, but he'd enjoyed spinning things so it looked like the attack on Kurt had been in response to his segment, not the reason the segment itself existed.]
