[ That's not working either. Meowth just curls up and goes to take a nap. ]

In that case... Wouldn't it be a bit cruel to give it to one of the "extras"? It sounds like you don't think very highly of them, so maybe they shouldn't be looking after a living creature...

I don't see a problem with it. They have their own Pokémon right? From what I've seen they look like they're in good condition.

That's true... But it's you that the little guy likes, not any of the fake people.

[If they ARE fake, anyway. So far, he has about as much reason to care for them beyond polite pleasantries as he does for any random civilian back home.]
