Steven laughs and cuddles closer too, although he ends up leaning over Thace to rummage through the bag and extract the trail mix. He extracts a handful for himself, then offers a second handful up to Thace.

Food really is not a concern, but then Steven's offering it directly and oh, that's so good. (Steven might be physically Galra but he doesn't know the significance; don't think about it.)

It might be a bad idea, but he's sleepy and content, and just leaning a little to eat out of Steven's hand means he doesn't have to sit up and unwind his arms. When had he put them around Steven anyway?

Steven hadn't been keeping track of when Thace put his arms around him either, but that's fine. This is lovely and cozy. He'll just rest against all this nice, warm fur that will keep him much warmer and cozier than any blanket could.

The issue of food settled, Thace rubs his cheek against Steven briefly, yawns again, and a few moments later is asleep.
