"Is your concerned party the one that's got them so riled up? It's HILARIOUS, until you want to sleep! The one you're talking about has covered every single flat surface with those oily sticks that you light on fire, there's nowhere to perch!"
Darkness tilted his head, side-eying her. If he was human, he'd be unable to hold back a wide smirk. Honestly, it was kind of hilarious how these humans were so riled up about Walter. Walter was a strange human but mostly sad and lonely, as far as Darkness was concerned.
"Perhaps. It is amusing. My trainer only speaks praises of him, even after he was nearly killed by him, and sends me to act as protector and monitor as he knows Henry will not allow him close by." He spread his wings in a shrugging motion. "Such strange creatures they are! Why does he need so many? Does he enjoy their fire?"
Still upside-down the scruffy Murkrow begins to swing back and forth. She apparently is allergic to holding still. But at least she's not screeching anymore.
"Nearly killed? You mean Prince was telling the TRUTH?! I thought for sure he must've eaten some rotten Berries or something, Henry Human couldn't fight a Weedle without his Pokemon to help him!"
Oh, Wren.
How little you actually know about the trainers you live with.
Darkness clicked his beak, clearly unhappy with the topic. This was why he didn't approve of his trainer's 'interest' in this Henry person.
"He attempted to cave his head in, while my team-mate, a young Cubone, was huddled on my trainer's lap. Even in my pokeball I heard his wailing during their... 'meeting'." While Assumption was the more highly trained between them, Darkness was in fact the elder of Walter's starter Pokemon. As such, it was he and Doll who had to comfort Assumption in the aftermath and gently pry the full details of what had happened from the tearful creature.
"Yet the humans here perceive my trainer as the threat!" Darkness scoffed. Walter may have strange ideas about pain and suffering and how other people worked...but it seems he had a basis for his 'humans are cruel by nature' spiel.
"Well, if Henry Human's really flown the coop, that explains why everybody in this house got really weird and not-fun all of a sudden!"
If Darkness is looking for sympathy for poor Assumption, he probably won't find it in Wren. She's more interested in the fact that the quiet guy with the camera and the candles apparently went postal and tried to bash someone's skull open.
"Now that I think of it, maybe we shoulda seen this coming! It's always the quiet ones, I tell ya!"
Ah yes, a group that Wren herself can... definitely not be included in.
Darkness couldn't disagree. Henry had seemed quiet and gentle...as did Walter. Henry's violent outburst was a far cry from Walter's disgusted speech about human evils but it was clear to him that both men had a coil of something within them, just as Walter's teachings dictated.
"Regardless. It is my duty to see that he doesn't fatally injure himself in his current state, as my trainer is as welcome here as a carnivore to an open meadow."
He kept his gaze on the house, settling where he was. Was this how his trainer felt when those chicks, the wild haired youth and the blonde with a torn dress, kept following him? But Walter was too...quiet to send them away.
"Do you mind? I would like to hear if the Receiver says anything relevant." Interestingly, he mutters 'Receiver' in human.
"Well you don't have to worry about THAT. All the other humans are treating him like a china figurine! They might be weird but they take care of their own."
She fluffed up, seemingly ignorant of Darkness's disdain. Or maybe she's completely aware of it and is just being obtuse on purpose. It's probably the latter.
"ALSO, he's asleep right now. So he won't be saying ANYTHING relevant. I mean, he talks in his sleep sometimes. I've heard him. It's HILARIOUS! But RELEVANT? HAHAHAHAHA!"
"If he speaks of my trainer, it is!" Sorry Wren but he really doesn't trust your ability to determine what's relevant or not.
Besides, I am ordered to comment on his status when I return. My trainer will not be interested to hear about you, fascinating as you are." And Wren truly is. It's amazing that a Chatot somehow disguised itself as a Murkrow. Very convincing. Until she opened her beak.
"Oh, lighten up! He doesn't talk about anything REAL! He does things like sit up, say 'Special delivery', and then flop back down again and not move for three hours! Why is your trainer so interested in him ANYWAY?"
Taking a hint is apparently something Wren forcibly expelled from her list of talents.
"He claims he is the 'Receiver of Wisdom'. Some kind of student I think, despite the power he has over my trainer." Darkness muttered. How did anyone live with this bird. His 'she is some kind of Chatot' theory gained more credence the longer had had to put up with her company.
"It hardly matters why my trainer cares for him so greatly. Only that I oversee him in my trainer's place."
Clearly Wren also needed a hobby. "It's not my place to judge my trainer." Even if he privately thought that Walter should cut all connections with this Receiver of Wisdom and avoid him at all costs.

The word 'fuck' is croaked harshly in 'Human'.

It would explain a lot.
"Wo-o-ow. Your trainer needs a HOBBY."
