Hey, so, I'm about to hit Goldenrod for a bit. Gotta get some supplies for little ol' May here and the rest of my guys.
I have been saving a bunch and I got some wiggle room in my budget so if anyone has a second, are there any record or music shops about? I have to admit, I'm kinda missing that little piece of home. I just wanna get that good Vinyl City feel again.
I think it's also about time I get myself a legit travel drum set for the road.

you.
what's a record shop?
do they transcribe sheet music there?
[This is apparently the whole message--no introduction or anything.]
text
Well, a shop sells recorded music. Music gets recorded for sale on a disk for other people to play.
Are you a musician, or?
Re: text
no.
but I have friends who are.
I like listening to it.
but why would they write it down on disks instead of paper?
that's inconvenient.
text
How do I put it?
When you play music, like a new song, someone takes the sound and puts the song on the disk. Then people can hear the song even though you’re not in front of them.
Re: text
I see.
then I will have to find a record shop too.
when I get to goldenrod.
thank you.
that was helpful.
Re: text
Really though, are you asking because you're a musician? If so, you should go to a studio or something.

I get my music from the app you can get on your Gear but I wanna hang out if you're here dude! Let's find some record shops together?
no subject
Yeah man, that sounds like a blast. You know this place way more than me so it'll help in case we get lost.
How far are you in town? I'm at the square.

think I'm gonna do just fine sticking out.
Look for the crowd of people, dude.

[ But Zuke is apparently very okay. The last thing Kirishima expected to see when he met up with someone was a mini-concert. ]
action!
Sweat came down on his forehead as he was going hard for his finale.]

I listen to anything. I’m a rocker by heart but every now and then I live for a good rap, jazz, classical...the works.
text;
There are some really good rock vendors down in the underground market. They're always ready to recommend something, and it's different every time you visit. I'm not that familiar with rap... but there's also a great music store near the Department Store that focuses on selling and repairing orchestral instruments, and they've got a ton of recordings from notable composers in Kalos and Galar. You can find some jazz stuff there too!
text;
Whoa, that's incredible! You know your way around.
So uh, any of those places sell drums?
text;
Like a full rock drum kit? You can get an older one that's been used, if you're on a budget, down in the underground too. But they sell brand new ones at the guitar store that's in the Department Store. They only sell instruments and sheet music there though, not much in the way of vinyl.
text;
I could see what they charge in the underground first. A used one with a story behind it gets my sentimental bones rattling. I used to always buy second hand and fix until I can't use anymore. There's a certain charm finding something good and older.
Heck, I can maybe tune up and fix if there's a dent or two.

[...Dimitri still consults with Gremlin before he sends it off.]
Hello Zuke.
We are on our way to Goldenrod as well, although it may take another week. It would be nice to see you in person properly again when we arrive there.
I wish I could give you more advice on music, but I am afraid that I am not educated in such matters, at least how they are here.
no subject
Dimitri? Shucks, I can totally hang on for you get here. Sounds like a great time, without the punks about.
It's alright though, too. I got some tidbits already so I'm just seeing how it pans out. Plus, I've been getting some playing in so I'm not at all fussed right now.
Weirdest thing actually.

Perhaps you could teach me the beginnings of how to drum when we meet in Goldenrod. I would like to put your gift to use instead of staying wrapped up in my belongings.

You gotta know I'd be more than happy to get you started, bud.
I'm hunting for that drum set I mentioned. Hit me up and we can jam for real.

I have heard such instruments here are rather expensive on their own. Do you think it will be more difficult finding something suited for travel?
no subject
It's kinda funny.
I've been making a bit more money with my side drumming street gigs these days. I think I can afford it.
