[ The feed opens up to a black screen at first, but there's a lot of shuffling and some background noise. Background noise includes a slightly pained grunt and some odd-sounding static. Except that's not just ordinary static, because when the camera finally moves to face the boy and his Toxel behind it, it's clear that the Pokemon's the source of the noise.

Toxel is hanging off of the boy, Akira's back and his mouth is just...kind of...clamped to Akira's shoulder. Akira looks slightly distressed, but he just heaves a sigh and gives the Toxel some pats on the head. Mom's house in New Bark Town can be seen in the background, though it seems like they're already moving on ahead -- yeah, he's a newbie. ]

Help me think of a name for him.

[ This is how he's going to start his first ever network post, apparently. Five minutes into arriving here, too. He's doing great. ]

He didn't take too kindly to "Blep".

[ He tries to address his Toxel as "Venom" and Toxel seems to react. He stops gnawing on Akira's shoulder and looks up at him instead with that same grumpy expression, but hey, at least the teething's stopped. That's a good sign! ]

...I see. He's responsive, at least, so that's probably a good sign. Progress?

Have you tried finding a name after a series you enjoy? I named my pokemon after the knight in my favorite series. He really likes his name, maybe try doing that and see if he likes it.

[There is a little girl, no older than ten, surrounded by birds and a couple of Pokemon that appear significantly dizzy. She's got a feathered headband on, and costume wings when she raises her arm. The voice she speaks with is the voice of an adult woman, not a child, however.]

[ A...cosplayer? No, he won't voice that thought, and the juxtaposition of her voice and her appearance is a little jarring. Plus, what she says is a little startling, mostly because it sounds like it's addressed to him too. ]

I don't plan on doing that. At all.

[ Toxel, though, looks at her and lets out a disgruntled growl. But! At least it stops the biting! ]
