[It had been a hot minute since he said he was going to meetup with his cousin. Certain activities got in the way of their earlier plans, much to his dismay and it wasn't as if he had his usual speed here. He was a little miffed at the whole thing still, but he was here now in Violet City and that was all that matter. He knew how to keep his gripes to himself and he wasn't about to sully his first in person meeting with Zagreus.

He shoots off a message to both Zagreus and Thanatos the moment he gets in town. A quick "Made it to town, meet you at the Pokemon Center!" and then in true Hermes fashion sprints off to the meetup spot just outside. He's moderately dressed for the cold, more than he's ever had to dress before at least, but he keeps himself warm by his near constant movement. How mortals stay still is beyond him. He's practically bouncing in place playing on his pokegear by the time anyone finds him and by the looks of him it's pretty safe to say he had found caffeine in this world. His Pidgeotto is not too far off from him though, perched in a nearby tree and sitting on his head is his newly hatched shiny Chatot.]

[Hermes' message finds Zagreus well-- After about a month of being mortal and hanging around in their presence, he's more or less adjusted to the whole predicament. He was used to having to be quick to adapt, and he took to this world like taking on a challenge. He made a schedule, figured out eating, slept at roughly the same time every day, and that more or less took care of his new existence. He still viewed it as a big fat waste of time, but what could you do? Nothing, apparently!]

[Thanatos' company helped. He knew a bit more about the whole idea of mortality, and he was very aware of all the ways to fail at it. He also knew more about things like money, so Zagreus didn't have to worry about going broke either. He liked Pokemon battles enough that he had a steady income coming in as well... Although he still wishes he could just step in and get the job done himself, even if there was an element of gamelike strategy to being forced to use Pokemon instead.]

[He heads out with Ena the Houndour at his heel and Athena the Hoothoot on his shoulder. The Pokemon Center is nearby and Hermes is easy to spot. Zagreus raises his hand in casual greeting.]

Well met, cousin!

[Meanwhile, Thanatos is not quite enjoying this as much as Zagreus, which says something considering Zagreus' mixed review of mortality. Waste of time is right, because that's all every part of this is for Thanatos. He can't be as productive as he'd like, let alone even do the job he should be doing, instead being given these annoying and useless tasks that make up being mortal.

Not that he doesn't like tasks, but he's not much of a fan having to spend so much time on things that primarily benefit only himself. It's simply not how he likes to operate, but he hardly has a choice. He supposes having to help Zagreus not...die is its own duty, and one that's enjoyable for various reasons he would rather not talk about, but that's besides the point.

He isn't far off from the two when Zagreus takes notice of Hermes, and while Zag is far more like a ray of sunshine in his greeting, Thanatos is more like a calm evening breeze. Enough of a change in the stillness to allow one to realize its presence, but not particularly engaging otherwise.]

Hermes.

[Peering over his shoulder glows a faint red orb that seems to exist within the ambiguous and shadowy shape of something—but once the red orb seems to focus on Hermes, its form likewise comes into focus to reveal a Duskull. One that doesn't seem interested in being friendly with this new guy, but she does seem to want to keep her singular eye on him.]

[At Zagreus' approach does Hermes visibly perk up. In one swift moment he pockets his gear and rushes him, spooking the Chatot off his perch, and grappling the other in a tight bear hug. He may be a bit short in this form, but he's still strong enough to lift you off the ground!]

Coz! How've you been? Surface life treating you well? About what you expected?

[As usual he's already going a thousand miles a minute with his questions, but at Thanatos' greeting he takes a pause. Releasing Zagreus from his grasp he flashes Thanatos a friendly smile and a wave.]

Thanatos. Been a while, hasn't it?
