Uh hey. I dunno if any of you guys pay attention to Joltiktok, but there's this neat thing people are doing where they all record themselves singing sea shanties and edit them together? And I know that I'm not the only musician here still--plus there's probably lots of you guys who sing for fun too.

So I was thinking, what if we tried doing one? Us people from the other worlds. Maybe not "The Wailmerman," because everyone's done that one, but "Banette's Privateers?" It's the one with the chorus that goes:

You really think so? I've never really... uh. Can you like study singing? Just sung to myself mostly. The link would be great though!

You can! I kinda wish I'd done that, honestly. My parents would have never paid for it, though--that's why I dropped out of community college.

It's fine though. I know a lot of musicians who just kinda pick it up as they go. I did.

Ooh, yeah, I don't think community college existed on Etheria? Definitely not in the Fright Zone. Everybody's career was pretty much Horde Soldier or nothing.

Maybe they have singing school here! Or somebody willing to teach me to be better about it. That would be great!

I bet they do! If not a whole school, then at least teachers! You should check in some of the big cities and I might check in Ecruteak next time me and Rose go through there, because they're really big on the arts there. I know they have people teaching dance there anyway.

Dance would be fun too! But singing has always come um easier, I guess. I'll ask around next time in Ecruteak.

I'm not surprised. You're a good singer. Do you play any instruments? I used to do guitar lessons as a side thing back home.

But tell you what, if you get a guitar or a ukelele or a keyboard, let me know and I'll teach you how to play! We can do lessons over the gear while we're traveling and then in-person ones when we're in the same place.

Kirishima's just going for it, belting out the chorus into his fist as an invisible microphone. A Machoke skids into view in the background, looking alarmed for about .2 seconds before rolling his eyes as the situation is correctly assessed.

Pros? Not a bad bass voice and it has a distinctive sort of grittiness to it. He also seems to be passionate and having fun. Cons? Like... just about everything else, from just how loud he is and inability to keep a tempo on his own whatsoever. ]

For now! We might have to modulate your volume a little, but we can work on that. I'm pretty good at teaching music stuff. I taught my son to play ukulele and Buck Dewey how to play guitar.
