[It's the Indigo Plateau. Still cold, still looking as chilly and mountainous as ever. With a notable exception - namely, a bedraggled-looking Shiro and his equally bedraggled team of pokemon. They're all crowding around him, trying to get a look at the camera.]

[Shiro is... grinning? Widely. He looks happier than he's looked in a long time, with one arm slung around his Aggron's broad neck, the other holding the camera out as far as possible.]

- Okay, okay! Come on. It's recording, guys, get in here.

[Umbreon hops up onto his shoulder, fur a little singed, sticking up in weird places. Marowak peers up from the bottom of the screen - helmet dinged and nicked in places. Gallade wiggles in, Gengar waving delightedly - lifting its hand up over the top of Gallade's head. Which... means Incineroar just flat out picks up Gallade to get in on this too, all of them squishing in with their Trainer like it's a big class photo.]

Hi everyone. Long time no chat. We've been busy up here... had a bad run first off, but the team pulled it together. They pulled it together really well.

[With a chorus of Pokemon agreement.]

And that means?

You're looking at the 13th Champions of the League.

[More loud, boistrous Pokemon cheering. Incineroar ends up dropping Gallade to scoop Shiro up instead. There's not much else he can do - and ends up fumbling the 'gear. It lands face-up, thankfully, for more shots of celebrating Pokemon.]

[Celebrating pokemon and Shiro's bemused, final statement - ]

... guys, we need to go back and apologize to Bruno again. Calm - calm down a minute! You didn't let me say it on the recording - !

They've been quiet lately. Really quiet. And that's probably for the best.

But no, the Ultra Beasts were definitely not common. I think most, if not all of them, left once they could. Something about this world not working for their physiology.

Ah, yeah, those guys. That's more common than anything - swarms of pokemon appearing, sometimes delivering things, or sometimes just being around to catch.

I had people to get back to. Now they're here.

EVer heard of "the silence before the tempest"? Are you so sure that their silence is a good thing?
But Wait, these things Were called Ultra Beasts? Couldn't come up With something better? What made them so Ultra?
Either Way, I guess it's for the best their physiology couldn't handle this World, but it's odd they didn't just change to fit in, considering What happens to off Worlders like me Who are brought here.
Good to knoW about the sWarms, though. I had an idle curiosity about What was going on, but couldn't bring myself to care enough to ask about it at the time.
AnyWay, so you had people to get back to, but they're here noW, so you Want to stay. Which means it isn't about Where you are, but Who you're With, huh? You must be a pretty popular guy then, if that's the case.

I have. Believe me, I have. But in this case, it seems more normal for this world - the legendaries were reclusive before things went south, and now they are again.

I have no idea. I didn't name them. They were stronger than normal pokemon, attacks and items affected them differently.

I wouldn't say popular. I just have a handful of very good teammates - like family, really.

I guess there's no reasoning With the oVerly optimistic.
Still, I guess We're lucky that those beasts aren't here if they Were truly such a hassle. I'Ve no interest in dealing with them, anyWay. If they do shoW up again, that's someone else's problem.
That's right, you humans haVe your strange familial structures and Whatnot. It's hard for me to understand, really.

Overly optimistic is a new one. Usually I just hear "stubborn".

If they show up again, they may make themselves everyone's problem. Whether we like it or not.

There's some leVel of optimism that promotes being stubborn, eVen if it might not be the moonbeams and starlight Version that usually is associated With the Word. In my experience, pessimists tend to fold long before the optimists.
If they shoW up again, I'll see to it that they aren't my problem.

Well enough, We trolls are knoWn to be adaptable—jade bloods especially—and I'd be one sorry excuse for one if I couldn't handle this Wiggler-friendly planet.
Not to say there isn't some things I miss, but they're not entirely unaVailable, they're just also not quite the same, nor as easily accessible.
But I'll surViVe.

There's an aWful lot of you. And not because We're all turned into them regardless of What We Were before, but it seems like a fair many of you Were human before arriVing here.
Or, if they Weren't called "human" specifically, there still basically Weren't any physical changes done upon arriVal.
I haVe to Wonder, just hoW many planets haVe humans subjugated? Since this isn't the planet any other human is from, yet humans are the dominant species here, but I had neVer heard of your kind before shoWing up here.
