[Shared with the network today: a pair of Indeedee in the middle of a loving embrace. Without letting go, the female rambles on and on frantically, barely stopping to breathe. (Any Pokémon listening in will catch a very detailed, very embroidered description of the last 28 days.) Once in a while, the male nods solemnly and pats her shoulder, a soft smile on his face.

Off screen, Ash coughs. The pair does not notice.]


Did anyone else accidentally split up a couple last month and now feels terrible about it?

[ Hellebore, Jinx's own indeedee, at least seems to confirm that she has no such partner, but she's very distressed at what Ash's must have been going through. Can you hear her worried and somewhat disapproving chitters, Ash? ]

[Ash sounds just as distressed as Hellebore. He knows how much being separated from your partner sucks! How could he do this, even unwittingly?]

[ Jinx has left the picture entirely to hold the Gear for Hellebore, who is deep in thought. After a moment she scuttles away and... returns with. Someone else's Gear? Oh no. Still, there's some search-and-peck typing for a moment before Hellebore turns the pilfered gear back for Ash.

It's several pictures, focusing on wild fruits, berries and root vegetables, mushrooms, and fish- at which point she opens her mouth as wide as she can to show she's got many little sharp teeth. ... And then a picture of a fancy dessert. ]

Ah, well. That cinches it.

[Ash sets the Gear down for a few moments, since the closest notebook is just a little beyond his reach. For something this important, taking notes is not optional.]

Fish, fruits and vegetables, I can work with that. And the dessert, of course, can't go wrong with something special. The trickiest part will be keeping the rest of the team away.

...Yeah, it could. I guess it feels different when there's proof it happened, rather than just a theoretical risk.

...You're right. For a whole month, they must have felt fate was against them, but that hasn't stopped them from reaching a happy ending. Not everyone is so lucky, but it's still worth appreciating.

It is! Maybe they should sell the movie rights to their story to finance their wedding. The perfect balance between drama and romance, all theaters sold out for weeks.

[That gets him a very confused look from the male Indeedee, who apparently overheard him. The female just sighs, because she's already used to this.]

Is that so? Got any experience with proper romantic lighting, sunsets and the like? I mean, he showed up at 10 AM, but I think a reunion as the sun either rises or sets would make for better drama.

Hmmm...10 AM...

Depending on where you set things, even if it's not a sunset, or a sunrise, that can still be great. You could have the harrowing journey end with their silhouette, cast directly before the sun, as the beloved squints toward them...slowly realizing who it is, and who they're reunited with..!

Cast before the sun, coming down the road that leads outside the city, as if he'd travelled all over the region to find her... A bit of sweat to show he's been walking tirelessly, maybe a smudge of dirt or two... I can almost see it already.
