Summary: Romelle is training her team and getting ready to take on Johto's first gym

Route 31

Starting easy, Romelle went here first. She could be found mostly in the tall grass and near the trees, working her team through their paces with some of the wild Pokémon in the area. The group could also be found midday near the pond in some shade to eat lunch. She was friendly with anyone who might happen by, and willing to chat with people who stop... even battle! She needed practice, after all.

Route 32

Romelle would be doing her darnedest to make it all the way to the Pokémon center. She avoids the ruins for now, and doesn't go as far as the cave, but she'll be stopping on the pier for a break if anyone wants to help her out on this particularly looooong route. Glad to battle, which is a change from her normal demeanor about her team, Romelle would tell anyone asking that her team needed the training as she was planning on taking the gym in town.

Route 36

Romelle didn't go far from the entrance to Violet City here, but she was still working on her training. She would get as far as the ruins. But still, she was open to battling other trainers or just talking. She'd even offer up spare potions, berries, or poffins to anyone who needed them. Some of the poffins look very much homemade, and one of the team members Romelle was with happened to be a shiny Raticate who was very very proud of those very homemade looking poffins...

Violet City

Romelle would be around the school and Sprout Tower, doing some training and studying. And, yes... eventually, she'd get to the gym. Share a grape juice with her before or after her gym attempt? Help her study? Train with her at the school or in the tower? Visit the mews for an aerial show?

[... Of course the one person Razor attempted to use new slang with would be another who doesn't seem to understand it, either. Doesn't he feel silly!]

Oh. Right.

[Rattata, on the other hand, seems completely unashamed to indeed grab two poffins -- though it does break one in half to offer back to Raticate. The other half, it scuttles back to its trainer to offer to him.]

[No need to feel silly! Though, Romelle likely would if someone explained the slang meaning to her. Alteans just aren't familiar with human slang, though.

She did give a smile when Razor responded to her explanation.]

Of course. One of the good things about Raticate here wanting to practice more is that we have more to share with everyone.

[A nice side effect, indeed. "Cate cate..." Raticate took the returned half, picking up on exactly what Rattata was doing, and nodded, pleased that people were partaking in his baking.]

Are you training for your gym challenge, too? Or just traveling?

[The routes near gyms seemed to have a lot of people readying up for that, but Romelle had done a lot of traveling around the area before taking on the gyms, so she knew that not everyone was going to doing what she was doing.]

[Though his first bite is tentative -- Razor, as a rule, doesn't trust food that isn't meat right away -- he seems to be content with the poffin and eats it almost as quickly as Rattata horks its down.]

Very... talented rat. What else does he cook?

[He nods, looking over his shoulder at some of his other Pokemon, playing amongst themselves.]

We train here, outside the city. Soon, we challenge Jim.

Not much, right now. He wants to learn how to make gateau next, I think. That was his most recent new discovery.

[Romelle smiled and then nodded.]

That's what I'm doing, too. I hope your battle goes well.

Did you want to try a training battle together? [As in challenge each other?]

Gah-toe... [That... doesn't sound very appetizing, but to each their own, Razor guesses.]

Yours, too!

[Razor looks down at the young Rattata, then over his shoulder to the rest of his waiting team. They seem eager for it, so he nods.]

Training. Yes. Pocket is ready now.

Mm-hm. It's a type of dense, spongy cake. It can be really good depending on what you put in it.

[Romelle nodded, both in thanks for the good luck wish, and to indicate she was ready, too. She got up, making sure the team she had been training up for this challenge was at her side, and that she had enough potions and berries to share other than just poffins in case either of their teams would need serious healing.]

Okay then. [With a delicate toss, her first ball popped open to reveal a Bewear.]
