[The feed clicks on, showing a somewhat nervous-looking blonde and freckled young man. That and a Snubbull. Ron waves at the camera a bit.]

So, uh, hi! I'm Ron. Ron Stoppable. And this is Maddie. Nice to meet all of you, even if I haven't technically met any of you yet.

I'm looking for Kim Possible, red hair, green eyes, incredibly beautiful, may or may not have already unleashed at least one of sixteen different types of kung fu on someone. Also a naked mole rat named Rufus. And an explanation for what the heck is going on.

In that order, actually, because I'm like halfway to a panic attack here.

But if you know them from your own world, there is a good chance that they aren't in this world. And as for what is going on -- you've ended up in a completely different world from your own. All the people on this network are in the same situation as you are. Nobody completely understands why it happens, but your world and family and friends are safe.

Sorry, I know this is all pretty confusing and overwhelming. My name is Armin, and I can try and answer your questions.

[Actually, that's entirely fair. Armin doesn't know if they are safe. Who knows what this guy's world is like.]

Actually, what I should've said is that they are more or less frozen in time. When you go back to your own world, you'll return to exactly the same moment you left, so for your friends and family, it'll be like you were never gone. And you won't remember being gone either. So maybe safe wasn't the right word to use. I don't know what sort of situation you were last in, after all. But at the very least it is... stable? Nothing will change while you are here.

If... that makes sense?

[Armin isn't sure how quick on the uptake this dude is.]

Oh, and those are pokemon. That's what the animals of this world are known as. Pokemon are very popular in this world, so nearly everybody owns at least one, if not more.

Okay, so nothing changes back home, and I won't remember anything I did here when I do go back. What's the point of doing that? Why is this even a thing?

I don't know if there is an answer to that. I don't think anyone is even completely sure of what brings us here in the first place. It could just be a force of nature.

But I believe, even if it is meaningless in the grand scheme, it can still be enjoyed while you are here.

I haven't met a red hair, or a mole rat for that matter. But you're in a fantasy world without magic, and with amazing little critters.

[He is not very helpful, but he's trying.]

Dude, I kinda noticed. Dogs aren't pink where I'm from.

[Ron begins petting the pink dog in question on the head. She lets out a happy bark.]

...except for Commodore Puddles, and there's absolutely no way that poodle is normal.

Have you seen any other critter?

There's those bunny-eared squirrel things that're all over the place?

[Ron hasn't left New Bark yet, so all he's seen besides Maddie the Snubbull were Sentret and Pidgey.]

Ah... Yes, those.

[Malleus chuckles.]

You'll find many, many more as you go along your trip. Some will be even bigger than you.

Yeah you're probably shit out of luck on your buddies there. Interdimensional shenanigans, it happens, just roll with it kid.

Just take it from somebody else who freaked out waking up here - it's not worth the headache. Stop worrying about it, accept it, ride the waves of weirdness.

Might wanna get that out of your system now, because this place isn't exactly tame. Or logical. Otherwise people would actually be able to climb ledges without riding a goat.

Anyway, I doubt your friends are here. What I suggest is finding someone close by- buddy system can help a lot when you're starting out. Or you could hitch the ferry to Kanto, but no matter what, you're gonna end up doing a lot of travel.

On foot. Plenty of campouts, too.

Wait. 8-bit muzak, ridiculously powerful yet absurdly adorable monsters, weird physics...Did I get trapped in a videogame again?

Heh. Some people have compared it to a video game. One time, the whole world even got a pixelated look to it.

[He pauses, frowning.]

That was... a few years back, but for the most part, this world's pretty real. Weird, but real. On the upside, some people really click with the whole adventuring around with monsters schtick. It's got its perks.
