Who: Leonardo, Fitzroy, and Morgan
What: Three idiots walk into some puzzles. Some of those puzzles might even get solved!

Where: Ruins of Alph

Leonardo came prepared! And by that we mean that he has some helpful pamphlets from the visitor center, an egg being kept warm inside his backpack, and his Smeargle leading the way, a Pidove hopping along beside him. There's some tourists around, despite the drizzling rain, a vendor selling t-shirts, but above all else...

There's mystery in the air! Perhaps even... Adventure?

What is being prepared? Fitzroy doesn't know her nor does he ever want to, because that would require using his brain. Or brain cell. Neither of which he is ever allowed any retention of.

And might be why he's pretty much standing outside the ruins pouting a bit with Snippers 2.0 somehow perched on his shoulder. Don't ask. He's strong. That's the total excuse for all of this.

"This is a waste of tiiiiime. It's such a tourist spot, so there can't be anything of importance here!"

"Come on, Fitzy, don't be like that! There are Pokemon here, and those are important! Plus there are puzzles and ancient mysteries. Those are the opposite of boring."

Troy the Mimikyu rides along atop Morgan's head as she heads for the entrance with an empty Pokeball already in hand. She is ready, ruins!

"And besides, would you rather stay out here with these tourists, or come along inside and find a place without them?" Leonardo chimes in.

He doesn't want to let Morgan get too far ahead of them, but he doesn't want to chance Fitzroy bailing out of impatience, either. So, he settles for walking half-turned towards Fitzroy as he follows in after Morgan.

His Smeargle, thankfully, keeps his hands and paint to himself as he follows Leonardo, and his Pidove hops along in hopes of finding some tasty popcorn inside the ruins.

Is he huffing? Of course he is. "Don't call me that!" He's calling after Morgan, but... god, Leonardo has a point and he hates to be admitting to it. He's not useful for puzzles, he knows that, so what's the point of him going into this place? Honestly.

"Fine, but don't expect anything from me." If he could be anymore obnoxious, he'd be trying way too hard. Snippers 2.0 is just... well, quietly foaming at the mouth like a crab does. How it's not getting all over his clothes and cape is anyone's guess.

"What's the big deal about this place, anyway?"

"Oh, don't worry, I wasn't going to!" Expect anything from him, that is. "You don't want me to call you Fitzy? Too boring, huh? All right, I'll come up with a more exciting nickname for you."

She glances back at the question and shrugs. "It's a ruin and it has puzzles, isn't that enough? If it's a ruin, that means there used to be something here that got ruined over time, don't you want to see if we can figure out what it was? Have a little curiosity, Fitztacular!"

"And, if that is not enough, there are probably pokemon lurking around inside somewhere, and if no one else has stumbled across them, very rare ones, too."

After all, if a frog lives alone in a cave no one has entered in centuries, that frog will be much different than the ones that hop around outside all year round.

But soon, they will be inside the first ruin, which has some people milling about looking at the strange symbols on the wall, and some very old statues guarding a little platform.
