[Star is used to the silent types, not to mention Stone Free, so in response to silence the Stand carefully pats Stone Free on the head.

But the request . . . it catches him off-guard, and for a long moment he has no idea what to say.

It's a request twelve years too early, and it's a request he doesn't think he'd ever here. For so many, many reasons, and that isn't including the ones that come from a future he hasn't experienced yet. The part of him that's always aware of what's out there, what could be out there, what he's working against, it makes him think, for the briefest of moments, that he should turn her down. Too close, too much, even a world - two worlds? - away from their own.

Bu he thinks of his own wedding, and how it had felt to have his dad there. Despite him rarely being in Jotaro's life, much like how he was - is - with Jolyne. It isn't the same, not by a long shot, but it's similar enough. A feeling he wouldn't forget.

That part is usually right, but for once, he's not going to listen]

Yeah. [it comes out kind of quiet, but he clears his throat and continues, louder] I want to. If you want me to.

[Excuse you, sir, why are you touching. Stone Free almost seems to huff at the other Stand, though takes the head pat for the time being, knowing full well that it may as well given the whole... connection thing or whatever. It's almost comical compared to the conversation happening not far away.

Jolyne had never really contemplated all of this in the first place, having resigned herself to if this sort of thing had ever happened that he wouldn't be there. Well, that had been the thought until everything had happened and that whole whirlwind had changed everything and ending up here, able to work things out and find some healing from everything had absolutely helped her decision.

She hadn't expected him to actually accept.

Which is precisely why she's frozen for a moment and watching him carefully. Though it lasts but a moment before Jotaro is going to have to deal with his adult-ass daughter launching herself at him for a proper hug. You stop that right now.]

Thank you. [The words are uncharacteristically soft for her, though she's almost afraid if she says it any louder that she'll lose what control she still has over her emotions or he'll end up taking it back.]

[it's absolutely comical, especially when Star smiles, pleased as punch. It's Stone Free but it isn't the same Stone Free he knows, and that's really all he understands.

In comparison to Jotaro, who seems to startle as he suddenly has his arms full of daughter, and the expression on his face gives it away - surprise, like this is the last reaction he expected to get to answering such an important request, and especially one that he knows he has no right to really say yes to. But she wants him to and . . . honestly, he's already tired of saying no to her, to the little daughter he has waiting for him at home.

There's a moment where he just stands there, almost at a loss - and then he's hugging her back, slow and careful but tightly, like he half-expects this to be taken away at any moment]

Like I'd say no. [it's mumbled into her hair] Not to this.
