[And out she comes! She looks a little sleepy, mostly because Izuku had been keeping most of his other Pokemon inside while he trained, but she shakes it off quickly when she sees Fuji, cooing back at him as she waddles over to where he's standing. Now when did you get here, short, round, and handsome?

It's a good test for Izuku, meanwhile. He's able to control the output of his Quirk in a way he never could before, which makes him more confident to fight without holding back too much. There's still a level of caution being taken just in case, though...he'd only feel comfortable really going at 100% against somebody who he knew could withstand it, like Katsuki or Kirishima.

FORTUNATELY...it doesn't seem like any bones are being broken right now, though some bruises are probably inevitable. Especially when Izuku is just a hair too slow to block one of Mirko's punches, taking it directly to the chin. Which, of course, causes the Lopunny to stop immediately and rush over to Izuku with little noises of concern, reaching her paws up towards his face SHE'S SO SORRY SHE DIDN'T MEAN TO oh my god is your nose bleeding-]

M-Mirko, I'm okay! I've taken a lot worse!

( fuji is absolutely delighted with these events. normally he's a serious, moral pokemon... but not today! no, he wants to spend time with her and he wants it now and if izuku's busy punching a punch bunny and jinx is busy watching, he will take matters into his own hands. ... in fact, they really are kind of busy. so maybe they can take a walk! wouldn't that be lovely?

meanwhile, jinx is immediately rushing over to izuku's side because holy shit he just got punched by the punch bunny, and she didn't really want anyone to actually get hurt in these demonstrations- )

[A walk sounds just perfect. Their trainers won't even know they're gone...probably...

Izuku meanwhile nods quickly as he holds a hand over his nose, half out of reflex and half because he wants to make sure he isn't actually bleeding before he takes it away. The last thing he wants to do is scare poor Mirko like that...]

I-I'm fine! I'm actually great! I haven't been able to spar like this in so long...!

... I didn't tell you, did I? I went home for a little bit. Not... permanently- I was still here, just asleep. But while I was asleep, I was also home. ... ( she gives a soft, almost flustered smile, but it's still a lot to admit to- ) I'm a hero now.

[Izuku almost trips up in his speed to get closer to where Jinx is, completely forgetting about himself for the moment because hello this is more important.]

W-why didn't you tell me sooner? That's amazing!!

( it's hard not to laugh at his own excitement, the way he casts almost everything about this weird day aside just for that- she's definitely not blushing a little shut up. )

I-I couldn't find a way to bring it up! I promise I wanted to, it's not anything personal- you were the one person I wanted to tell. Um- Kid Flash, I think I told you about him? It's been a while for me. He came around and asked me to help, when a league of villains were trying to gang up on the kid heroes, take them out of the game. So, uh, I said yes.

Robin decided to give me a chance too, afterwards.

[Wow. Not only is she a hero, but she's part of the same group she'd been telling him about before? Izuku's smile only grows, and while he wishes he could take her hands...he knows he should keep their distance respectful, considering.]

I'm so happy for you, Jinx-san! You got to be a full-fledged hero before the guy in school for it, so that's saying a lot!

[Even so...to Izuku, it doesn't matter. He knows what Jinx's power is like, and how it could cause more harm than good. The fact she's been given the opportunity to do good...and Izuku is just. Really happy for her.

It shows in his expression, the way he looks genuinely excited, as if it's him getting his provisional license for the first time.]

If you get to go back again, ever, you gotta tell me everything, okay? I want to know what you got up to!!

Fuji? --Mirko, did you see where- what the fuck?

[Izuku was ready to launch into another ramble about heroes and shit when Jinx noticing their Pokemon have skedaddled is enough to prompt him to stop, looking when she does to...

He's quick to run over to check on them, picking them up one by one. They're all accounted for judging by the stickers on each, but then there's...

He picks up the one that was opened, a little apple sticker on the top.]

( almost instantly, she releases a tall decidueye- )

Stolas, do me a favor and scout ahead, Fuji and another Appletun are missing. I don't think they got too far, but we don't know how long it's been.

( stolas, for what it's worth, agrees almost immediately- and away she flies, watching out over the hilly field and all it's off-beat paths. )

[Izuku asks as he carefully scoops the rest of the balls back into his bag after making sure nothing's missing.]

You...don't think anyone came up while we weren't looking, do you?

I notice people a lot sooner than I tend to notice animals- unless they're dogs, I mean. So if someone had come up, even with being distracted by you, I'd like to think one of us would have noticed... Mirko included. Even if neither of you are quite as paranoid as I am.

Also, Fuji escaped his pokéball on his own earlier- he could have set her loose, or she could have done the same.

( she's confident as she says it, but... let's be real. hyperawareness only takes you so far. still... )

( so there's a lot of options, but also not really. still, with stolas in the sky and izuku, jinx and probably mirko on the ground it shouldn't be too long. right? )

[Izuku speeds up a little, careful to stay on the grass as he points to a dirt patch in the path. And sure enough...those are two pairs of prints that look more like they belong to dinosaurs than any of the birds or mammals that live on this route.]

( well, they are big round apple-pie dragons... it'd make sense that they leave some big footprints, even if both of the kids can lift theirs like a particularly hefty dog. jinx lets him take the lead and follows close behind, with stolas in the air scouting just further ahead once she sees the trail they've found.

honestly though, fuji's just having a nice time, basking in the sun peaking through the tree branches- a good shady tree with some light spots is the perfect place for a romantic nap. don't you think? )
