It is actually going to be based around puzzles and there may or may not be at least one simple code option involved in a puzzle.
I am not at liberty to reveal too many spoilers. :B
But I just got wind of when everything should be in order for the gym to open up, and the League said it might be prudent to make a fun announcement!

I should always and definitely be present on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but I'll have something in place that will let folks leave challenge requests for me on Tuesdays and Thursdays if I'm not in. Those are the days I plan to be out "in the field", as they say.
I am kind of operating this as my own private investigative agency, so actually doing some detective work is integral to the concept.

'NYY'... three letter word where the second and third letter are the same and they're about halfway across the alphabet from the first letter... probably 'ALL' so let's count the letters between L and Y and see if they're the same as the ones between A and N...

If it helps, I didn't suspect it was you until I decoded the first half (which I did right away because you just gave us that as a freebie) and mostly only because of the champions without gyms that I know are still around, most of them are either not the type to announce it by cipher or people where I'd have heard about the gym firsthand or secondhand before the official announcement. Or both. So you were the logical guess at that point.

*That's* when I should have plugged in the second half of the date. Ah well. So it goes. My partner would have probably still beat me in decoding it anyway, as he's the kind of annoying person who can shift letters around in his head and not have to keep referring back to his guide the way I do.
