Who: Zuke and YOU
What: The Water Conservation Charity Festival with a Premiere Concert by Backroad Jam!
When: All of July 27th, Morning/Afternoon/Evening
Where: Cerulean City Water Park!
Warning: PG for anything idk.
MORNING:
The trip to Cerulean over and done with, Zuke would pull in to the venue the night before opening. There was a small trailer set up for him by the parking lot. Perfect, this gave him ample time to prepare. His anxiety was bubbling, and tried to take it out by performing yoga out in the early morning after actually having a productive sleep. Then it was a matter of setting up at the concert venue.
Rolling in to the event early means there are some food trucks available outside.
Starmiebucks has a long line but it's a great way to get your Cerulean Coffee and a pastry or a breakfast sandwich. Or a few.
IHoppip has breakfast crepes. Going savory or sweet here.
But hey, there's other things to do other than breakfast. Once Zuke had his fill, this was the ample time to speak to him as he is traveling in and out of the park with gear and equipment. He's all geared up and trying to focus, but he will break his focus certainly for people approaching him.
Also! If you have the time, the other crew from the conservation group could use a hand! They won't ask for anything but they seem to be busy setting up fliers, ticket booths, vendors, and other things. Helping them out will be much appreciated! Or...hey, wanna volunteer for the event?
AFTERNOON:
Now the fun starts! With the event in full swing, take advantage of the Water Park! There's the works! Slides, wave pools, lazy pools, fun games...! All of the fun under the sun!
But hey, there's other things to do! There's all kinds of VENDORS, support your local artists and the charity by visiting:
Beads and jewelry: A jewel specialist has raw gemstones and Pokémon evolution stones. You can purchase special rocks and stones or you can have some made in wrapped pendants or necklaces.
Bags and satchels: What it says on the title. Pretty designed purses and bags for all types of folks made from natural fibers and with all kinds of designs.
Portraits: For a fee, there is an artist that is drawing couples, families, or you loners out there. Want to have you and your Pokémon drawn on paper by a talented artist? For a fee, you can! The artist is rather quiet but will always do a great job drawing ya'll.
Taiyaki icecream: If the amusement park food was proving too expensive or the like for your palette, there was someone out there cooking up some Goldeen, Finneon, or Magikarp shaped taiyaki. The smell of the waffle iron maybe attracted you over there. Choose your fish, your filling of custard or red/white bean, your ice cream, and the multitude of fruit, cookie, and sprinkle toppings.
Backroad Jam merch: There was a bit of modesty here, as Zuke didn't want his name or the like to be so front a center. But hey, if you wanna support his band and the charity, why not get a shirt, tank top, sweatshirt, or a baseball cap with the logo on it! There's also some keychains and water bottles with said logo.
EVENING
It was the moment of the hour, the sun was setting over the concert hall and the seats were filling with trainers and friends...and hopefully...
Zuke spent a long time fixing his hair backstage, straightening his clothes, breathing in and out, and pacing. His crew was watching him do this, psyching himself up. He wouldn't leave them waiting. After a few moment staring in the mirror, he put his game face on. He turned to his bandmates and gave them a look and a smile. They got this, they all got this. As he was hearing the crowd outside, he gripped on to his drumsticks with one hand...and gave the rest of his team a high five with the other.
It was do time, and Zuke the Chill Drummer was ready.
THE SHOW
Opening
The lights would dim before a certain drumming started. A low rhythm started, with the resounding mellow beat of the jungle in the dark. This was followed by a low strum of a guitar. Once that went on, there was then the subtle hymm of a synthesizer and a pink glow emanating from the instruments played. Terbangan the Rillaboom's traditional drums, May the Toxitricity's guitar sound from her very chest, and Nadia the Gardevior's keyboard and small hums. Then there was the readying of another drum set, and once that started...the lights came on, and a familiar song played.
Sayu
Once that song finished playing, Zuke got up and spoke to the mic set up.
"Hey, guys. Well, welcome. We're Backroad Jam. Hope you guys are doing good out there. Thanks for coming. Name's Zuke if you don't know. Really excited to be seeing all of you. Never thought I'd be up here doing this with my amazing crew here-"
His bandmates gave a shout out.
"-They've been working hard too. It's still so surreal. But in a nostalgic way. I used to be in a band on home. Shocking right? But well, anyway. We played a few numbers there, and I think you might enjoy them too. We had a mermaid back home. Yeah, that's right. You heard me. She was an idol, sang a lot about the sea and love. Being in Cerulean had me in a mood, so let's bring the mermaid here to the beautiful blue city, yeah?
And a beat started...and there it went but oh, you get lyrics too! But it's a drummer boy singing.

This time, the other bandmates were subtle and May was playing a sick guitar riff. This lasts a while before the rest of the group started playing. This one was short but May looked excited as she was taking center stage and going all out with the rest as backup. But soon there's lyrics too:

In a sudden soundboom, an array of pink sparks game from her as her playing went on.

Drumming to the Rhythm
Enjoy just a brief little cute drumming session between Terbangan and Zuke. Two drummers, two styles. This is meant to be a melody between drums. Please enjoy it because these two dorks are.
When it was finished, Zuke stood up from his drum set and motioned to his giant gorilla. "Terbangan everyone. Drummer after my own heart."

"This here is Nadia, expert in all feeling and artistic expression. A heart in a soul. What's she got for you all is very special too."
All of Zuke's bandmates were having a ball and getting their time to shine. This next one was all about Nadia. The lights dimmed and she started to float in the air, opening her vocals...it was basically a siren call. Almost like she was a mermaid, floating around in a beautiful pink light. This song was meant to be beautiful and captivating, and invigorating all at once.

"Now, it's been amazing, and I wanna thank you again for coming to the show. How about I give you a bit more nostalgia. We had this boyband, okay? Really popular, and pretty. Most of you know the type. They were all about catchy numbers and great dance moves. Yeah. Well, these legs aren't for dancing, if you catch my drift. This was it. The one. The one song he was prepping for. After a moment of silence, he took in some air through his nose and stood up from his seat again. "Well, I'm leaving the most important number for last. And, well, I'm leaving the drums to my man here. Terbangan. I'm taking the mic for this..."
He gladly gave his seat to his talented second in command as he stood in front of the mic and standing tall.
"There's a lot I'm thankful for here. You guys, this show, my team. I can sing and play all day about it. But, there are some things that are harder to express. There's feelings that are locked inside and you need to find the perfect way to let them out of you.
This is that time, and I hope it comes loud and clear what those are...
