[The camera turns on, with a close up shot of a wild Sentret curiously poking it's head into frame. The shouts of a young girl can be heard in the background, and as the Sentret moves away, she's trying to hold a Honedge, surrounded by a group of wild Sentrets.]
S-stay back!
[Her legs are shaking, and wild Sentrets are clinging to her legs. Not hurting her, just checking her out. While it's a little difficult to see without a close-up, there's a metal collar around her neck and metal cuffs around her wrists. She's trembling all over, holding the Honedge like her life depends on it.]
M-Master Naofumi!!!
S-stay back!

Kiddo, you need to let go of your sword. It'll fight them for you, but not if you're holding it.

[She pauses, and then with a lot of hesitation, lets go of the Honedge. She lets out a gasp when it moves on its own, floating in the air for a moment before taking a swat at the nearby Sentrets. She lets out a yelp, and the Sentrets let out a startled cry themselves before scattering away.]

[He's schooling his features to a gentle, reassuring smile for her, although inwardly he's as tense with concern.]

It's a good thing Thace hasn't pressed record yet, because he has to take several deep breaths to regain control of the growl. Collar and cuffs mean slave to him, and anyone who'd enslave another-- well he'd happily kill them. This poor child.
When he finally does appear on screen, he's calmer, but clearly concerned.]
Young one, can you focus on my voice? Just listen to me and breathe deeply. In, and then out. Hold it for a tick to feel the air in your lungs if you can. In, and then out.
[More quietly, he adds to the Honedge:] Tell the Sentret to back away, please?

[Thace relaxes ever so slightly when the Honedge starts helping push the Sentrets away. He keeps his voice soft and gentle, as full of warmth as he can make it. He can't quite manage a full smile right now, but does have an expression full of care and concern.]
You received a device when you arrived. It allows communications at a distance, so that is how we are talking right now. If you want to see me, all you have to do is pick it up.
