On the one hand, Shrike can see Sandalphon nearby and just walk over to talk to him, when one of his 'mons brings the network post to his attention. On the other hand, Shrike's own shyness aside, if Sandalphon made a text post, then that means he probably wants a response in kind, right? So clearly the best idea is just to reply.
