[Gobo waves with his free hand, the other holding the Pokegear. He's still on the Sevii Islands, on the beach at the moment, and his team can be seen playing in the sand and surf behind him.]

Well, what do you know? [He chuckles.] My birthday's come around.

I'll be honest, I've never been away from my friends on my birthday before, and it doesn't exactly feel like the right time to throw myself a party. But I'm thinking I'd still like to ask for a gift, in a sense... I'd like to meet other folks' Pokemon, if you're willing to introduce me. Show me one of your partners and tell me a bit about 'em, and an adventure you two have had together!

So when I met my Noibat, Jack, it was last October, which I didn't even realize until after...

My friend and I were spelunking in a cave and we heard these weird sounds. Just little things, like crackling or footsteps behind us at first...

As we got deeper into the caves, though, the sounds started to become yells and growls and man! It was really spooky, even for two heroes in training!

We got to the point we had our fire Pokemon light up a whole cave and there they were! Two Noibat who were just making their own haunted house in those caves! They'd been scaring us with a lot of scary sounds all along!

I dunno how long they were making a haunted house outta those caves but... they're ours now.

[ The video flashes on to a Noivern's smug face, large ears twitching. ]

This is Jack now! She still really likes pranks... she's just had a much harder time since she got bigger.

[ Jack opens her maw at this point and replicates, perfectly, the giggle of a couple of children. Thanks to her ears she can make a couple different sounds at once now. Creepy! ]

Wow! What an amazing ability, and a great way to have met part'a your team... Sometimes a little scare can be fun, eh? One of my partners, Sableye, likes to pull pranks too.

[And then he talks directly to Jack, which feels a little embarrassing, but not too bad.]

You're a bit of a troublemaker, aren'tcha? A real cool-looking one, though, especially with those wings. [Huh. She has wings and she can replicate sounds...] Boy, would my best friend love to meet you.

Woah... I just got a Sableye myself! She's... haha, a little weird. I haven't gotten a great read on her yet, but I think she's shaping up to be the same. Think there's some link between living in caves and being mischievous?

[ Jack, being addressed, fluffs up her ruff at being called a troublemaker; she is clearly proud to be bestowed that moniker and giggles with the voice of a child, which is disconcerting since she's obviously massive compared to Kirishima. There's a soft huff of leathery wings spreading and flexing behind her, mostly off-camera. Her head cocks and she gives the most deliberate of winks, clearly soaking up this attention. Then the cackle that pulses from her ears is absolutely hag-like. The feed cuts shortly after.

Kirishima comes back moments later, shaking his head slightly. ]

She doesn't need any kinda encouragement, man.

[ The camera shifts to a house, which now is crowned by a Noivern perching on it like some sort of gargoyle with wings so big they span they entire roof. Another villainous cackle sounds, distantly. ]
