I guess stealing a stone from a ten-year-old child would count as less impressive than stealing one from a burly biker, even if they both keep it in a locked box in their backpack. It's all about the image.

If this world's economy made any sense, its currency would have been devaluated ages ago by all those Meowth with Pay Day, so I'm willing to accept that as a quirk of this place.

There would also be any Pokémon they have out to consider, too. If that ten-year-old has a Hydreigon or a Machamp...

In a sane world, no child would be allowed to wield such power, but I'm sure all professional pokéthieves out there are glad they can face such a challenge. I wonder if trying to bribe any Pokémon present would be considered cheating?
