[So...there comes a moment in everyone's life where things just seem to happen so much. After settling in Goldenrod City, Ochako has been training and working hard on the long road ahead of her. L-Literally, in a sense. She took a job as a hostess as a pop-up cat cafe that opened in the city for the autumn season called Nekomancer - the only place around that had every variety of feline Pokemon under one roof, and an abundance of delicious drinks and small entres to try!! It was a simple enough job, really, and one Ochako fit quite nicely, what with her pleasant and friendly personality and sun bright smile. She even managed to snag a stray Meowth that was a problem for the establishment, because it would sneak inside as people were coming and going and steal food from the other cats, or get into fights with them.

Needless to say, this young Hero really saved the day when she was told that plump bastard was up for grabs and she pounced on it like a lioness on a zebra. Honestly, it's a wonder that poor Meowth could breathe after Ochako nearly piledrived it with Pokeball in hand. Listen, a girl has her needs...and Lasagna the Meowth is now a valued money-maker--I mean, member of the team! Yes.

Ahem.

Anyway!! Coming home from...all that, Ochako expects to change, take a bath, have some dinner, and relax a while until she has to put Eri to bed. Eri, who she'd left in the care of a few of her stronger Pokemon and some leftover food and snacks. What she didn't expect to find was a sizeable pile of eggs just grouped together (probably by Eri, when she found them) and a few of her Pokemon looking...thoroughly pleased with themselves.

Um. H-Hello...everyone. [Ochako clears her throat, nervously fidgeting and tucking her hair behind her ear.] My name is Uraraka Ochako - some of you may know me, o-or saw me on TV a few times from gyms and the performance a few weeks ago!! I, um...ehehe...w-well. I'm not sure how to do this, actually...

Ah...s-so. My, um...my friends--partners...well. They had babies. [She turns scarlet.] I-I mean they had eggs!! We have...eggs. A-A lot of them. And me and Eri-chan, especially Eri-chan, can't take care of all of them - it's just impossible. And I know people like to get special eggs, right? Ones from breeders with cool moves and stuff, and I think a few of these might? Eeeh...c-cuz Eri-chan is a breeder.

A-Anyway, I'm selling them for what I think is a good price of 1000P each!! [If they all sell, minus the one or two Ochako wants to keep...that'd be 12 or 11,000P!! A decent stipend to help them get by until she can work more, and her Meowth starts generating money.] Let me know if you want any!! Judging by the looks of the guilty parties...

[Ochako looks off screen, narrowing her eyes a little bit at her lusty Pokemon who played hanky-panky a little too hard while she was away--]

There are...um. Dratini? I think that's what it's called... Swablu, that big ol' taxi bird one... Vulpix, and Ponyta!! Oh, the cotton candy version for Ponyta, and the regular for Vulpix, by the way.

[ Eri saw... none of what happened, actually. However they did it, they did it discretely and while Eri was busy with the Pokemon that weren't doing this, and therefore no eyes were on them. The mystery of how eggs happen so quickly remains a mystery...

But that really isn't important to Eri right now, since while Ochako may have convinced her to let the eggs go to other people, right there in the background is a watery-eyed child who immediately yells... ]

[In all honesty, that's how it seems with literally every researcher, breeder, or what have you. No one has ever really seen a Pokemon lay an egg, or even really do the deed (S-Skitty on Wailord...), so it sure is still a mystery. But the expressions of a few of the caught Pokemon sure leave an impression that SOMETHING is going on.

[Ochako pats the girl on the head gently. Honestly, she gets it, and it's not really an inconvenience if the people either meet her in Goldenrod or they can both use the Warps to get to other cities they visited in the past, really. Ochako kind of hard to put her foot down on making unnecessary travel. That, or increase the cost of the eggs to cover that much...or a potential delivery fee if she sent them via Pidgey Post.]

Then it's settled! Once we meet up with the first few people, you can come with me to give them the eggs yourself, okay? You have to behave though, Eri-chan.

I-I'll behave! I promise!

[ She'll be on her best behavior! Mind you, it's not like she really misbehaves a lot anyway, so nothing much will change... but she'll be extra careful to not be a bad girl if it means she can come with Ochako and give them the eggs herself. ]

I'd like to reserve a Galarian Ponyta egg, for sure!

Since apparently these birdies are also part dragon? I never really understood that...

I mean, at one point she did feel like she was going cross-eyed trying to absorb all the info at once...so it's not unheard of.]

But what is MEGA Evolution?? This is the first time I'm hearing about it.

I’m a bit of a bookworm when it comes to learning, so I had to get this book on Pokémon species as soon as I saw it. Here, I’ll send you the excerpt. It looks like it’s a form of temporary evolution caused by a special stone.

Wow...guess I still don't know as much as I thought I did, and I've been here a few months myself.
But I know the Elite Four are the ones you fight after getting all the badges. I'm doing that now, and I'm a little scared. ^^;;; Just the gyms alone are SUPER tough.
I can't imagine a gauntlet of 4 ultra strong trainers to go through...

[Okay, Mikasa wasn't an expert on where animals came from. But she looked each of the pokemon up as they were listed. Weird snake-thing? Two birds? Makes sense that they'd come from an egg. Like chickens.

Then she got to the vulpix and stopped. Looking at the picture of the animal... dog egg?

Eh? Puppy e--oh!! You must mean the ones for Vulpix, ehehe... I don't think it's really a puppy...it's listed as a fox, I think? But of course you can see the eggs. Just a second...there!

[Ochako moves toward where the pile is, shifting through the bunches of eggs and showing off the ones that contain Vulpix. They actually have little stickers on each one that notes which species is which - since all Pokemon eggs look exactly alike and all...]

They're bigger than chicken eggs... [There wasn't much else to say.] Can I buy one? [She had to see. Did she come from an egg too?]

[That's...going to be a thing Mikasa is going to have to get used to. Ochako never heard of a land shark other than in online memes, video games, and joke manga, but in this world? They exist and she has one. One who got his freak on while she was out. Same with the not-quite kyuubi who she thought was a little gentleman.

Nope, all her Pokemon were DTF the moment Careless Whisper began playing instead of the cheesy route music.]

Ehehe, yeah, they're pretty big, more like an ostrich egg, I guess? I've never really seen a real one. But yeah, you can have one - just let me know what you want. Eeh... Th-They're not free though, I'm sorry.

One of the vulpix eggs... Please? [GASP! She remembered. She waited another moment before nodding.]

I'm on the Sevii Islands, but my friend asked to buy some too. I'll go with her... She gets scared easily. [This is Yachi bullying.]

[Ochako makes an affirming noise and is again off screen for just a second, writing on a sticky note to put on one of the Vulpix eggs that it's been claimed.]

Okay, I'll hold it for you. Eh? Sevii--...eheh, I-I haven't even heard of those islands, s-so you're going to have to pick them up. But if you're both coming, that's way better!! I can deliver to you both that way.

My friend wants to visit the pokemon centers. [To activate the teleporter things. Though Mikasa still wasn't sure what she wanted to do. For now she was just learning how to train her pokemon.] We have to get a boat to get back to Jhoto.

Mm, that's usually how most people travel if they don't have a friend that can Fly them around... or don't want to pay for a Ubird.

I can hold the eggs for you for some time, but it'll be harder to give them away in they hatch before you can pick them up... [Since Ochako really isn't sure how the parents will react to people taking their babies away. Or if said babies will bond with people and parent before being picked up. It's going to be a mess...]

[Didn't it take weeks for eggs to hatch? Maybe it was different with pokemon, compared to chickens. Even if the eggs were bigger.

[For chicken eggs it takes a while. Chicken eggs back in the worlds they all come from, probably. In this world? Pokemon eggs take only about two or three weeks to hatch...give or take. And even less time yet with certain Pokemon abilities that help keep them warm (Flame Body).]

Hehe, I believe in you both!! But don't make the journey too difficult on yourself just for these, you know. Make sure to rest and eat well, too, okay?

Yes, they always seem to catch one by surprise, especially when you are leaving them with a friend. Still, now that this has happened, you at least know who among your own is compatible.

[Compatible...ahaha. Yeah. That sure is, um, a word to describe it. Ochako's eyes slide to her Pokemon slowly, the ones that look a little too pleased with themselves, and shakes her head slowly. Honestly, she wouldn't have been so shocked if they weren't doing that kind of thing around a LITERAL CHILD. Even if it is just instinct, she's going to have to reprimand them a bit for it.

Eh? Oh, n-no!! Dimitri-san, I'm fine, really! I have a job in Goldenrod, a-and I've finally managed to find and catch one of those manekinekos, too! It was a little hard for a bit, but I promise it's nothing to worry about!

[Too late, Ochako, Dimitri worries eternally. About everything, but especially teenagers and young children. At least he does ease up a little bit at her reassurances.]

That is very good to hear, although I do not know what a manekineko is... I hope that your job in Goldenrod treats you well. If anything happens, please let me know.

Have you recommended any of the eggs in particular to other people?

[Just so long as he's not fussing too much over her... Ochako kind of gets a little intimidated and flustered when put in the spotlight in a way like that. It gets overwhelming, and actually makes her feel worse and want to withdraw more, actually. Being as poor as she is, both home and in this world has become a very sore topic - she's too independent and stubborn to accept help unless she's hit rock bottom.]

Oh, it's the uh...um, the lucky cat!! The one that makes money! They call it that where I come from. [She actually holds up one of her hands to her face like a cat's paw and makes a sort of beckoning or waving motion with her hand.] I actually found and caught it at the place I work at. It's fun there, and I get to dress up sometimes!

Mmhm, I put a call to anyone who wants them and a few people have already claimed a few. If my records are right, I think...seven have are already set to be claimed by various people. [Which is about half the bunch.]

[There's a specific term for lucky cats that make money... If Dimitri had 5P for every time he ran into this concept, he'd have 10P, but it's weird that it's happened twice. Especially in a place where people from multiple worlds seem to appear.]

I see. It's good to hear that it is such a lively and fun place. When one enjoys their work, it is not so much a trial.

Are there any left that seem to be facing difficulty in gaining attention, or being bought?

[It sure is bizarre, isn't it? Though many different mythos seem to prevail throughout the worlds, too, Ochako has found. Pegasi, phoenixes, and dragons being the main one. I mean...considering they're an actual Pokemon type in this world, and Ochako owns several...yeah.]

Mmhm!! I get to play with the kitties when it's slow, too, but a few of them are a bit sneaky, ehehe...they like to steal things that was shiny. So we're not allowed to wear jewelry. [The Purrloins and some of the Alolan Meowths tend to swipe - literally swipe, with claws and all - at things they want to try and nab.] The only problem with it is I think it's just seasonal, so it may not be around after the winter months...

Oh, um...hm. Let me see. [Ochako ducks off screen for a minute or two as she puts her Gear down to check her notepad.] I'm actually a bit surprised - no one wanted that cute little sea dragon... Dratini, I think? There's also a few Swablu eggs left, too. Oh, and one Vulpix!

Ha.... what a pleasant job it sounds like, although with quite the troublesome wards. If it will not be around after winter, perhaps I will have to make sure that we all visit Goldenrod again before too long... It sounds rather nice. I have no doubt that Felix would be quite fond of it.

[There's no denying the true nature of a man who collects so many cats himself.]

Dratini, Swablu, and Vulpix.... Hm. Is the Vulpix one of the companions you have, Ochako?

Ah, please do!! I'd love to see you again soon! And all of your other companions too, of course.

[Even if she'd probably be serving them or something, Ochako doesn't mind. She'd just like the chance to see them all having a good time and enjoying themselves. Honestly, many of the kitties at the cafe were extremely affectionate and would get cozy with people just enjoying a nice sit or a bit of coffee...and the staff knew better than to startle a curled up and sleeping Espurr.]

Mmhm, that's right. Anseris is my Vulpix. I-I'm a little surprised he's ah...ehehe, um. A-A papa now... [She clears her throat a little, cheeks turning pinker.] But I think he's actually older than he appears? But it still feels like only a little while ago I had hatched from from an egg myself.
