4th 💀 Video;
[It's around 9am when this particular video comes onto the network, though the state of the man in front of the camera would leave you believing it was earlier. He certainly looks as though he just crawled out of bed, and perhaps he did! His hair isn't particularly styled, though not a complete disaster case of bedhead, though he is dressed in a rather fluffy looking house robe of scarlet hue. The nonplus—perhaps even downright annoyed—expression would leave one to wonder if he's had his coffee yet.
The large hand reaching into view off camera placing down a coffee cup in front of him would imply: he indeed has not.
His sleepy and irritated gaze flicks to the coffee deliverer for but a moment, before turning back to the camera as he starts.]
Good morning fellow imports, 'twould seem I have been tasked with an announcement of sorts—unexpectedly.
[There's an edge to the word, sharp like a knife. With a shake of his head, he looks down at what seems to be...flashcards? Notes? Something of the sort. With his free hand, he puts on what seems to be a pair of reading glasses as he peers at it.]
Within the next few days, Elysium—or as some of you know it Egglysium—will be opening the ranch to the public as it hosts some few harvest-themed festivities.
[As he's reading this off, one might notice a certain very tall man in the background, wearing a flannel button up, blissfully stuffing hay into the shirt. That someone is Hythlodaeus. Emet either doesn't notice, or is purposefully ignoring him.]
These festivities will be available for the next moon or so, featuring such as the following: haunted hayrides in which participants are free to catch the ghosts which so choose to frighten them, costumed Cutiefly races in which the winners will be gifted various prizes, bobbing—
[He pauses. Squints. And carries on, his tone incredulous and exasperated.]
...Bobbing for Applin... Really, Hythlodaeus?
[He stops to look back at Hythlodaeus who has now since abandoned that hay-filled shirt and scurried off to do something else just as equally bizarre. What good fortune it is not on camera. He shakes his head with a sigh before turning back to the feed.]
There will be some few other activities as well, should you feel the desire to indulge in such frivolity. If you have further questions, feel free to ask them. I suppose it is upon me to answer them, seeing as the host of such is far too busy with his preparations and saw it fit to place me at the helm of advertisement.
[From his tone, he clearly thinks that was a stupid decision, yet not stupid enough to not do it, considering that he just...did. Picking up his cup of coffee, he holds it up in a cheers-like motion, more so signalling farewell, before he cuts the feed.]
(ooc: a log will be put up in a couple days with further details, feel free to tag into it since it will be a mingle log. Some of the prizes will be potentially shiny Pokémon! Feel free to hit me up on plurk (
ZornSable) if you have any OOC questions!)

[Ardyn leaned his head on one hand, raising an eyebrow slightly.]
I was not aware people still celebrated the harvest season, in a more modern era such as this. How interesting.
[Emet-Selch shakes his head, letting out a dramatic sigh...but then moves on, dropping the act to speak more frankly.]
Indeed, this world still celebrates such, though I cannot say I have seen many places of agriculture. Some traditions simply persist for the sake of it, or so it seems.

Even I do not know the full extent of his machinations, but rare if ever do I find myself wanting for entertainment when it comes to him. I shall hope to see you there, friend.
[Video] :B
Was your friend getting into character by...trying to emulate a scarecrow?
[She just sort of assumes that guy is your friend, he was at your house chilling and doing weird shit like it's no big deal, which is peak friendship.]
Probably, I tend to ignore his antics till I cannot.
[He glances back at where Hythlodaeus was, the shirt and hay left unceremoniously upon the floor as the sole evidence of his crime.]
It would not be the strangest thing he's attempted before, and it is like as not only the beginning.
[Turning back to Jane, he raises an eyebrow.]
Shall I expect to see you here for the festivities?
\o/
[Look, she'll put on a fake mustache at the drop of a hat, she has no room to judge.]
I suppose I could stop by? It all does sound fun and festive. Where is this fabled Egglysium located, anyway?
👁️👄👁️
South of Goldenrod, about a day's walk from the city proper. Though the jaunt is quick should you find yourself graced with a flying type. Gym leader as you are, I'm certain that will prove scant an issue.

Oh! That's not far at all. I suppose I don't have an excuse not to stop by, then.
[And see if events hosted by "Solus" also have weird bullshit that happen at them a la the Yamaskerade Ball, but shhhhhh.]
no subject
Indeed, I'll hold you to that. Perhaps you could bring Dirk along for a fun little outting?
[Wow! You (allegedly) pull one heist that leaves some few people retraumatized and the hosts of the event thoroughly robbed, and now everyone thinks you're gonna do it at every party!]
no subject
Hm...I'll ask if he wants to come. But I'm surprised - I assumed you two were friends. You don't want to invite him yourself?
no subject
[He shrugs.]
Not to mention, I might find myself entangled in whatever nonsense Hythlodaeus has planned, it would serve him better to have unoccupied company, no?
no subject
[Right, that Hythlodaeus guy. The odd fellow from before. That one.]
Alright, I shall reach out and see if he'll consider coming, then. Would you like it if I let you know to expect him, or would you rather it be a surprise?
no subject
I shall look forward to seeing you, accompanied or no.
no subject
Jane will just smile and nod, though. Pretend like we haven't found something kind of odd about the odd fellow your very-different-than-before friend is friends with.]
And I'll look forward to attending!
Hey, so I haven't been here long-- [A brief pause as he realizes that wait, no, he kind of has. It's been half a year or so-- He's not going to think about that too much right now.]
Uh, anyway, I'm not sure where this ranch, Elysium, is. Could you let me know?
Just a little.]
Ah yes, how foolish of me to not include such a crucial detail. I do apologize, I have yet to fully enjoy my morning coffee.
[Honestly, he just expected people to Goomyle it to find the address.]
The ranch is roughly a days walk south of Goldenrod, but well worth the venture I can assure you that.
no subject
A day's walk from Goldenrod, huh? I'm actually getting really close to the city, and I have to say it sounds fun, this harvest fair sorta thing you guys are doing.
Cool of you guys to put together something nice and relaxed after the whole temple thing.
[Sure, there was the contest, but nothing about that sounded relaxed from what Louie heard.]

[At least his tone implies some measure of fondness over pure condescension. Look, he appreciates a boy who is willing to do lend a hand in all manner of affairs. That he would take an interest in something like an ancient ruin speaks well of him.]
But yes, after such an ordeal, we were of the opinion that aught relaxed and simple could not go amiss. That we might bring people together for some entertainment and celebration would do our community good—or so that is Hythlodaeus' aim, as I'm told.
no subject
I've done a lot of stuff like that back home. It's always an adventure- [There's a tinge of sarcasm to that word, he can't help it.] -but you kind of start getting used to it.
video
[Fancy masquerades sure, but nothing about hayrides sounds like Emet to Ardbert. But hey! Ardbert's still alive. It's probably been a while since he's reliably heard from him since he went off to Kanto with Estinien. From the looks of things he's still over there, or at least he's somewhere out in the wilderness.]
Sounds like you'll really have your hands full, huh?
