Of course there's no wrong in saving some of your money, especially for emergencies or if there's a large expense you plan to make in the future. It's commendable, even. Granted I don't know of your world or your circumstances there, but in this world there is a perfectly valid way of obtaining goods you need and want, especially with how open the job market is. It's like asking for the best way to chisel your way out of a room when it has a perfectly good door.
