Summary: Another teenager stumbles into Johto, and he's having a time with it.

[Yuya was, at first, sleeping peacefully in bed. He wasn't in bed five minutes ago, but he is now and hasn't really considered that wearing his clothes and shoes in there isn't normal. A woman's voice telling him he needs to get up while he smashes his face into the pillow is normal, and it takes him a minute to stir and turn his head to face... a room?

This not his bed. This is not his room. That is not his mom.

A long, startled scream pours out the window.




Anyway, Yuya books it out of there as soon as he manages to untangle himself from the sheets and dodge around this lady, who is still not his mom. He's been kidnapped! His actual mom is probably worried!

Once he's out the door, absently grabbing the backpack sitting by the exit, he has one plan of action: figure out where the hell he is.

He heaves a heavy breath.] Okay, where... am I? And how did I get here?

[Once he works out the basics, he's not really in a rush to head down the path ahead. He has the sense, at least, to poke around his Pokegear until he can pull up a map. When he can't zoom out enough to see more than the surrounding cities he lets out a frustrated groan and drops it back into his bag.

He fishes around until his fingers finds the pokeball, and he turns it over in his hands before clicking what he assumes is the activation button. It sure activates something, and he jumps back as a light shoots out and materializes into a yamper.

It sniffs the ground, padding in a circle around the grass.] A dog?

Yeah, I met up with him before I found out about you. I had to leave him, though... Pokemon Centers here have warps, but you can only go to one you've been to before. That's how I got to you so quickly.

[ But it also meant that Gon couldn't come along, and that they couldn't use it going back. ]

Come on. We can't warp because you're not able to yet, but I can fly us there! It'll be way faster than going on foot.

[ She says, getting up and pausing to yawn for a moment as Soprano trotted over. Say hello to the cloud bird, Yuya! ]

You did? [And here Yuya has just been sitting and twiddling hours thumbs.

He follows her to stand, covering his mouth before her yawn can infect him too (its not very successful).] So--Soprano is a Pokemon?

[He looks between her and the yamper, chewing on his backpack strap.]

[ Sorry, Yuya! She's tired is all. ]

Mmhm! She's an Altaria! I just named her Soprano, though.

[ Soprano will let out a soft cry as it moves over to nudge Yuya affectionately. Yuzu likes you, after all, so that means you're trustworthy!

Meanwhile, Yuzu will just now notice Yuya's Yamper. ]

Ah, a Yamper! Is that who you started with?

[ She saw a few in Goldenrod, after all. ]

[Yuya reaches to stroke Soprano as she leans over the nudge him. They're just weird enough to look more like duel monsters than actual animals.]

Yeah, I guess that's what I--hey don't chew on that! [He dislodges himself so he can grab his backpack and sling it over his shoulder. As the yamper whines, he scoops it up in his arms.] It came out of a ball.

Ah, yeah, they all do.

[ And to show what she means, she'll pull out Soprano's Pokeball and briefly recall her, the Pokemon turning into light and being sucked into the ball before Yuzu opens it again and Soprano pops back out, perfectly fine and coming out with a quick flourish of her cloudy wings.

Best to get stuff like this out of the way. ]

Huh... [He'll wonder later if that's really comfortable when they seem to be physical creatures and not just spirits.

For now, he's wrestling a wiggly puppy in his arms.] I was going to meet with Gongenzaka in Violet City. Can we make it?

[songstressedout]

[ Wiggly puppy with a big dumb happy smile on it's face. Adorable. ]

Violet City? That works, actually. [ She thinks for a moment. ] It's between Goldenrod and Cherrygrove. I'm worried about Gongenzaka... but since he's going on foot we should be able to meet up there, especially since we'll be flying.

[ Which means they've got no time to waste! She'll quickly move to mount Soprano, the Altaria immediately crouching down as she approached so that she could do it easily. She's very tired from everything that's been happening, especially since it's getting late... but it's fine! She's fine. ]

Come on, get on! I'll explain everything to you on the way.

Okay! [Yuya doesn't hesitate to slide onto Soprano behind Yuzu. He's rode enough duel monsters he's confident he can keep his balance even with one arm tucking his yamper against his chest.]

[ Exactly! It wasn't new to them, they've ridden enough Duel Monsters that this was easy. ]

Alright, Fly! Soprano!

[ Soprano lets out a loud caw before it spreads and flaps it's wings, taking off into the sky. It'll be a few hours before they get to Cherrygrove again, but that gives them time. Especially since Yuya definitely has plenty of questions. ]

[Yuya has a lot of questions. An FAQ full of questions.

It'll keep the whole journey occupied at least, and maybe keep them both awake so they don't tip off mid-flight. And as much as Yuya would want to keep going, he sees how tired everyone is. So they're no protest when they land in Cherrygrove and find a place to sleep for the night.]
