hey guys! john here.
man i guess it's been a while since i last checked in on the pokegear all publicly like this.
i guess i have just been really busy being an awesome trainer and winning gym badges.
anyways does anyone know if there's a store that specializes in pokemon-proof clothes?
like, fireproof stuff to help with angry fire types.
or something that can save me from being impaled by toxic nidorino spikes. that specifically.
if there is no such business, does anybody who knows how to make clothes want to go into business with me?
i bet we could make a lot of money that way.
i would get 50% profits for the idea obviously.

[A few minutes later, there's an addition:]

oh and if anybody has tips for the cianwood gym let me know!
im training up my awesome team of super cool pokemon to fight it next.
i want to know what im going to be up against.

[About thirty minutes after that, there's one last thing:]

also, has anybody else been getting pies sent to them?
is that a thing in the pokemon world?
because i definitely did not order these.

Oh, that's definitely understandable, but you'd think it'd be helpful when just traveling normally. Pokemon seem more patient than I'd expect wild animals to be, but running afoul of some wild poison thing in the wrong mood seems like it could end badly.

And yes, I've gotten the general gist. I think there's a lot I'm not really used to yet, but I suppose I've just got to actually do things to learn.
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

I suppose you'd just have to keep them in good health, because really, why wouldn't you. My Poliwag actually seems to be doing reasonably well against rodents and birds, but I can't help but worry about the poor thing the whole time.

Speaking of which, though... any recommendations for things to catch early on? You can have six, right?
bloodisthicker: there, i said it (your face is a huge jerk.)

Well, it certainly does pay to have friends in high places, I suppose. Or, at the very least, more urbanized places.

And I'll definitely consider picking those up, then. It... does seem like there's a lot of things to consider when capturing Pokemon.

The... moon prom? Do I want to ask? Either way, it seems really convenient regardless.

...and I think "kind of" and "sometimes" are understatements in that last sentence, my friend.
bloodisthicker: how distasteful (legions of fans you say)

Oh.

Oh, yes, I... see how it would.

Well, that's not too far off from what I do, although it's more politics than business. It's definitely different from this world, though I think some people have found it a bit strange when I've said that it's more likely for people to have the sorts of abilities Pokemon tend to have than your average animal.
bloodisthicker: it never fails. (i saw it in my coffee.)

Well, no, but that's only because I'm not a Firebender. See, not everyone can bend in the first place, and if you can, you can only bend one of the four elements --- water, earth, fire, or air. I happen to be a Waterbender, so if I were to have any source of water whatsoever on hand, I'd be able to manipulate it to do various things --- freezing it, immediately drying things by removing the water out of it, using it as a sort of rope or whip... those sorts of things.

Of course, there are various subspecialties in bending, as well, so it isn't really that limiting that you can only use one element.
bloodisthicker: you mean you don't dig blatant power grabs (oh...)

I'd... say we don't, actually. Airbenders are actually extremely rare, but... we have absolutely nothing that could control time or space.

Yes, I... imagine. Well, I'm actually having a bit of a difficult time imagining what that would entail, but I'm almost entirely certain it's something you wouldn't want in the wrong hands.

...well. They're a little bit flighty, I have to say.

...I'd feel worse about making that vast a generalization, but in my defense, there are only four at the moment.
