Arrival; [Video]
The gear's feed flickers in to a rather disheveled looking redhead that clearly doesn't want to be doing this. Because goddess and all the saints, he does not want to be doing this. Asking for help is already a task. Asking for help within a brand new world he cannot even begin to comprehend? Nightmare scenario. He's clearly lost and disoriented, and there's music and a fire pony following him around. Really, the only good thing is the fire pony- ponyta- whatever.
"Okay, don't know what this is, where this is going, or who's on the other end, but I can read instructions well enough to get to this point. Hi, Sylvain here, no clue where I am besides a very unhelpful 'New Bark Town' sign a few paces back, and I found a horse on fire. A baby horse, err, or maybe a pony. So... help? Maybe? I'm not even sure what I'm asking here."
And the apparent cause of how much of a mess his red locks are becomes obvious as he sweeps a hand through it again like a nervous tick. Behind him, the camera is panned just enough for a ponyta to be seen running obviously bored laps back and forth. They're pretty clearly at the edge of town, the buildings of New Bark still somewhat visible. Sylvain didn't make it very far...

It evens out when he tilts his head. The beach seems, well, quite nice actually. It's more romantic than he'd have suspected, ideal, really. And there's that feeling in his chest again, the one that's been hard to shake every time it crops up.
"Oh. That, uh, that sounds really lovely. I wish-" he wants to say wishes he could remember it, but it doesn't even feel as though he's forgetting something. There's nothing there to pull from, and it bothers him. "Sorry, it's probably weird for you, huh? Having to say these things to somebody who was there."

He pauses again to glance over at Sylvain. "It is. But it must be just as weird for you, having to listen to me talk about your involvement in things you don't remember. ...it was...really nice."
I wish, Sylvain started to say. Maybe Felix was too hasty in deciding not to make the offer. And there's no harm in it - Sylvain's free to turn it down.
"I...could show it to you. If you want."

Still, it's hard to hear Felix longing for something Sylvain can't give him. Or can't right now. No matter how much he wishes he could. It's not fair to them. How can he say no when so much of his life has always been about Felix, and Felix's happiness?
"Would it make you feel better?"

Sylvain's question is one Felix isn't sure how to answer, because that answer depends so much on how Sylvain would react to it. He frowns in thought as he finishes hammering the stake into the ground and starts assembling the next piece of the tent.
"I feel fine. And I didn't offer to make myself feel better. I meant exactly what I said: if you want. If you don't, just say so. It's not going to upset me. I already know where we stand on this. It's fine. There's no reason to rush anything."
Much as Felix would be happy if Sylvain decided suddenly that he was okay with being married, actually, the absolute last thing he wants to do is make Sylvain feel any pressure over it. That's a surefire way to make Sylvain miserable, and that's exactly the opposite of what Felix vowed to do.

So the redhead takes in a deep breath, holds it a beat, then exhales. He'll be honest.
"Maybe later," he offers again, smiling softly. "I'd rather get the tent finished first," and he's right back to being cheeky. He begins lacing the canvas through the pikes to give the tent its shape. Eager as he is, he'll put it towards something they both want right now. A shelter to make out in (and hopefully more).

And then he smirks, back on more comfortable ground. "In that much of a hurry to get your hands on me again, huh?" Not that Sylvain's the only one, frankly.
Felix goes about assembling the rest of his part of the tent quickly, and soon enough they're finished. He tosses his bag inside just to keep wild Pokemon from getting at it and then steps inside himself.

He's close behind Felix as they enter the tent. The moment he can be, he's got his chin over Felix's shoulder, and an arm wrapping around his middle. His free hand finds Felix's, squeezing gently.
"You really can't tease me like that. Do you have any idea how long I've thought about doing this?"

As soon as Sylvain's arm slips around him, Felix leans back against his chest and turns his head just slightly so that his cheek brushes Sylvain's. He squeezes that hand back, even as his smirk grows a bit wider.
"I do, actually. And I had thought about it as well, despite my best efforts at the time." It's lightly sarcastic, but true; Felix spent too many nights after training with Sylvain in warm weather or joining him in the sauna, or sometimes just watching him ride a horse or practice magic or read a damn book, thinking about it. Ugh.
