[ video ]
[The video pops on with a "Li!" and it's clearly a shot of a ceiling somewhere. It was hard to tell right away. The Litten rattles off a few things in Pokémon language, very quickly, attempting to knock the Gear around a bit in the hopes that someone will hear the ruckus and answer.
There was also a concerned sounding Rattata attempting to help. However, the noise did eventually get the attention of the Trainer... a very congested, tired, and rough sounding voice responded.]
Guys... quit it. I'm trying to sleep.
[Keith coughed a few times and then sneezed roughly in the background.]

But he does speak human (or whatever is the common language here) and hearing enough of that coming over his 'gear has Lance rolling over in bed to grumble in the general direction of the device.)
So am I, so shut up, Keith.
no subject
You shut up-
[And then it clicked.]
What the-...? Who turned that on?
[Keith reached down and grabbed the Gear, visibly bundled up in blankets and looking miserable. The Litten in question looked very proud of himself. Keith gave the 'mon a very flat stare.]
Not cool.
voice;
[Someone's been awake for hours already, thankfully. And ready with the Concern.]
Not feeling well?
Re: voice;
voice;
[Says the king of "I'm fine".]
I won't argue with sleep, but - you're going to need more than that. Hold on, I'll bring you something in a minute.
[Since the one thing he can make is... tea.]
Re: voice;
It's okay, really- [More coughing. Keith knew he was failing at this. He finally just gave a resigned sigh. This was Shiro, after all.]
Yeah, fine. Just... nothing complicated. [The last thing Keith needed was worrying about the house burning down or something while he was trying recover from whatever this was he managed to catch.]
voice -> action?
[So much disbelief there...]
Nothing complicated. Promise.
[It won't be long at all before he's knocking on the door with an elbow. Who cares about germs? This is his job. Which... apparently entails balancing a tea kettle in his right hand, medication and a water bottle in the other.]
[... while Luna the Meowth is doing figure-eights through his legs.]
Hey, it's me.
action!
Keith grumbled a little from under the blankets, not really wanting to move. Yes, he was an adult now, old enough to drink even, but he was still young enough to feel whiny about being sick.]
no subject
All right, blanket caterpillar. Sit up.
[Just a quick, murmured thanks to the Rattata.] Fluids, meds. Then you sleep more.
[Big Brother mode? Yep. You got it.]
no subject
Ow... [Yeah... it kind of hurt, but also didn't at the same time? Keith was just sensitive to touch right now from the fever.
He did, however, immediately recognize the tone of voice Shiro was using. That was his big brother voice. He groaned a little and squirmed his way into a sitting position, somehow managing to stay almost completely cocooned in the blanket and nestled in the pillows. He poked his head out and the blanket settled into almost a cloak-like situation so he could use his hands.
The two cat mons were still also within kneading reach, and Litten was doing his best to provide warmth.]
Okay. [Keith rubbed at his face, which was flushed from the fever.]

Action
[Somehow, she's not surprised. Honestly, it's probably a miracle that only Coran has come down with any disease during their tenure, at least at her timepoint, let alone a harmless one.
Since Shiro take the more immediate care package to Keith, Allura starts on lunch. She's no Hunk by any means, but she likes to think she's slowly gotten a handle on basic human cuisine in her time here, and the party was good practice. So a while after Shiro's done with his round of fussing, Allura gently knocks and comes in with a tray of chicken soup (made with veggie stock and grilled chicken added in, so Shiro can have leftovers with a clean conscience) and a glass of fruit juice.]
Keith...? I've brought lunch if you wish.
Re: Action
It had been a long time since he'd gotten sick enough to need someone's help, and even long since he had someone close enough to him to actually do it instead of just going to a doctor or the base infirmary. Injuries were a different matter, though having his mom and the other Paladins at the Garrison after Sendak's defeat and the destruction of that weird Altean mech had been pretty helpful in getting him to feel better faster (and to actually let himself rest and heal).]
Mm?
[He shifted, still curled up under that blanket nest with his pillows pulled in under with him, and peeked out just enough to be surprised at her.]
You didn't have to do that...
[Yes... he sounded surprised.]
no subject
[Oh no... seeing Keith curled up like that is... actually kind of amusing. Adorable even? Either way, she gives a soft smile as she walks in, Coressa the white Vulpix at her heels.]
I wanted to. Besides, when was the last time I tried to sit still and do nothing about a situation?
[Never. At least she admits to being a workaholic busybody.]
It isn't much, merely chicken soup and juice. Do you need or want anything else?

[Her smile warms a little more as she makes her way over to the bed, carefully setting the tray in front of him.]
My pleasure, really. How are you feeling now?
[Here, Coressa will hop onto the bed to offer her services as an ice pack. The rest of Allura's more hyper brood are busy in her room, with Morling playing babysitter. Hello, Litten friend~]
no subject
Better than I was, I think. The meds Shiro gave me helped a lot.
[He still sounded congested and slightly hoarse, but it was a bit of an improvement over how he'd sounded that morning.
His Litten was busy radiating warmth against Keith's back, but flicked his tail in greeting for Coressa. Luna the therapy Meowth had also stayed behind after Shiro had left, and was also pressed against Keith doing her job as a comfort and support for someone not feeling well.]
no subject
[Ah, hello, Luna friend~ She and the Meowth have also developed a rapport as self-designated mother hens. Coressa will just plop down next to them and nuzzle, but not in a way that would make Keith or his Litten too cold.]
Good, I'm glad. Hopefully this will give your body some more energy to fight this off. A "cold," Shiro said?
[And Lance. Loudly. So very loudly.]
no subject
Yeah. Something like that. There are a few things that can give similar symptoms to humans. A 'cold' is one of them.
[Though, honestly, he was feeling more like this was a flu, but he wasn't sure if that was because he wasn't used to the full force of a cold or if it was a legit flu. He gingerly settled in to try the soup, being careful not to spill anything as the three Pokémon settled in comfortably around him for comfort.]

[Video]
O-Oh dear...um...are you all right?
Re: [Video]
Huh?
[Yeah. He looked as awful as he sounded.]
Mm yeah... I will be. I just-
Li! Li! Litten ten litten li li ten!
[He sighed. Keith had a feeling (and it was correct) that his Litten was ratting him out on being sick.]
[Video]
Oh my...your Pokemon is very concerned for you. Have you had a chance to see a doctor or take any medication?
Re: [Video]
Yeah. My friend gave me some meds earlier. [He sniffled.] I um... haven't seen a doctor or anything, yet. I know they have like Pokémon docs, but do they have anyone who works with people around here?
[Video]
I'm...not actually sure. I hope they would, since it would be difficult for people to help take care of Pokemon if they were sick too.
no subject
[He sniffled a few times, and then sneezed hard, starting off another short coughing fit.]
Ugh... [Ow... that made his head hurt.] I haven't been this sick in a long time. [Maybe ever? He wasn't sure.]
