I was thinking today how it's been a while since I've posted anything like this. Or really talked to you guys without it being something like...a malfunction or an accident, so!

I wanted to ask, whether or not you've been here for a long time or just got here, do you have a favorite Pokemon?

I guess it's kindof predictable for me to say my starter is my favorite, but I do really like Eevee a lot. They're a very versatile Pokemon, a good choice for any trainer since they can become so many different things depending on your tastes.

I'd love to hear what everyone else's opinions are.

I'm glad to hear that. Having things like that are important, I think. That's why I've named a couple of my Pokemon after friends from home.

You know... I have always felt strange about doing that.
Or maybe it is just my way of keeping hope alive that they might join me here. Or return once more.

I can understand that. The only reason I don't feel that way is because...we all kindof have nicknames, back home? Like
We're training to be heroes, so we all have official hero names
so I can call my Pokemon by someone's hero name, but it isn't their actual name if that makes sense

That makes much more sense! It is a good loophole, I think!
Most of my friends went by one singular title - not unlike how you might call one a solider. So it wouldn't really work overall.
I suppose I could classify them as their combat inclinations, but even that would be tricky with some people!

Oh yeah, I bet that could get pretty confusing pretty quickly. And then you'd probably run out of names too.

[Not a dealbreaker or anything, but what if you had a lot of Pokemon and really wanted to give each a special, similar name but couldn't?]

And with how some of the moves Pokemon use are basically words for types of combat, there might even end up being some overlap there.

Very quickly. Never mind the fact that "Vault Hunter" is a rather unwieldy name.

[Which is cute like, once? But having a whole team of different creatures with the name is a different story.]

I think I would have quite a few Pokemon named Siren, in any event.

Siren is a good name! Though Vault Hunter would be a cool name for like, a Ghost type Pokemon.

I have a Pokemon named Kamui Woods, which is her full name, but I just call her Kamui for short.

A good name, yes! But it would have to be used repeatedly to honor my friends. I know two sirens, after all. Never mind the plethora of Vault Hunters I have come to know.

Kamui is a very cute name!

So does it get confusing for you, knowing multiple people who have the same titles like that?

Not particularly. Back home I was, ah... Gifted enough with technology that finding information out about a given person was easy enough. It did not take long to learn their true names! And when I did that, it felt like we were friends, rather than me simply being a relatively faceless person guiding them on their journey.

[And then she led them to their deaths, typically. Oops!]

Oh...so you guided them? That's pretty cool...it can be hard to be a mentor like that. I feel like I spend most of my time learning from others back home, not the other way around.

I would hardly call it being a mentor. They skills they needed to survive were already under their belts. I merely pointed them in the right direction. A... tour guide, more than anything.

In any case, there is nothing wrong with still learning. I imagine you are far more open-minded to change as a result! It is admirable!

Aw, thanks...I try to be. You won't really get anywhere fast if you're not willing to learn, or if you're not going to accept that you're just not going to know everything at first.
