I was thinking today how it's been a while since I've posted anything like this. Or really talked to you guys without it being something like...a malfunction or an accident, so!
I wanted to ask, whether or not you've been here for a long time or just got here, do you have a favorite Pokemon?
I guess it's kindof predictable for me to say my starter is my favorite, but I do really like Eevee a lot. They're a very versatile Pokemon, a good choice for any trainer since they can become so many different things depending on your tastes.
I'd love to hear what everyone else's opinions are.

Think it's one of those nature vs. nurture things. Some Pokémon might start off hostile. Others might start off timid and lash out if they aren't trained right. There's a ton of factors, and sometimes it surprises me how lax people can be about their training standards.
Kids aren't really known for their restraint. I'd know.

[Kids! Or at least, that's what the locals would tell you. It seems more and more likely to Izuku that trainers come in all shapes and sizes, and more often than not you'll find someone well into adulthood trying to find their way in a suddenly new and technicolor world.]
It sounds like you've grown up since then, at least. Not many people would be so willing to admit their own faults like that.

[Still, not like there aren't new kids showing up, or that there weren't adults before... Maybe he's overthinking it?]
I'd be worried if I didn't admit my faults. I named my starter Slacker. That's... not exactly flattering.

[Though he does think there's a certain age this place, via whatever rules it bases it's non-logic on, won't go below. That much is evident with Eri, after all.]
Well, did Slacker end up proving you wrong in giving them that name?

[...Man, that's such a nerdy thing to consider, though.]
Took a while, though. He wasn't big on battling for a long time, which didn't click with me. He's gotten the hang of it since, but I feel like the early days kept us from getting too close.
Plus he won't answer to anything but Slacker. Kinda makes things awkward.

Ahh, I see. I'm sorry things worked out that way, but at least now you're a better trainer for it.

One thing I've picked up on is that we're nothing without our teams. Even if we "make them strong," at the end of the day, they're the ones fighting.
Drives me nuts, if we're being honest. It'd be great if we didn't have to rely on them so much and could fight some of our own battles.
