video
[ the video starts with naoto laying down rather carelessly on his druddigon as they make their way through route 39. a rather simple scene, unless one's quick to notice the bright red and black sleeve that's on naoto's right arm on display. it was hot, okay, the tank top was providing some relief. but his gaze wasn't even on the camera-- it was distant, as if he was looking at the sky instead. (bless his fletchling for holding the 'gear.) ]
How does anyone deal with all this homesickness and loneliness? It's the worst thing in the world.
[ he sighs. ] If only it were easy talking to people.
[ the video goes on for a little bit longer before he mumbles out a turn it off, haruka-chan, it's not like i can say anything more without bothering people. ]

I know it's not the same, but if you ever wanted to know what you're Pokemon is saying, I'd be happy to talk with them and translate for you.

oh, but question: do you find the pokemon to talk to easier than say, another person? i find it easier myself, but maybe that's because they don't talk much in the first place... oh, but don't feel pressured to answer! i'm just curious is all.

Oh, I'm probably not the best person to ask that sort of question. I'm usually pretty nervous around people, especially if I don't know them well, so it's always just easier for me to talk to animals.
But my experience might not be the same as someone else's.
