It was quite the interesting experience fighting a Gym Leader - I hope that the others end up as enlightening. I shall be setting out to the next city as soon as I can. But I've... a small concern.

[ The camera pans to show quite the crew. Her entire team are out and relaxing. Note the multiple cat-like Pokemon... ] Will they truly be okay in the box? I wish not to choose favorites, but I do know that some of them will do better against the next gym then others.

...Perhaps I shall need to spoil them when we get to Azalea Town.

[Radley winces at the fight in the background. He had looked out the window earlier and seen those guys eating his garbage, but he had just shook his head and decided if they wanted it, great. He was just too worn-out to bother trying to wrestle garbage away from them.]

I'm not comfortable with the Box myself, but everyone says the Pokemon are okay with it. [He remembers Carly talking about it, for one.] Maybe since you've got some Psychic Pokemon, they could help you ask all your Pokemon how they feel about it?

[ There's so many of them... Minfilia nods to herself. ] Actually, I do not need psychic-types. Mostly.

Where I came from, I could understand non-Hyur Spoken. Yet, it seems I cannot quite do that here. I can understand their meaning, but not their words.

That's still pretty amazing! I can sometimes understand what my Pokemon are trying to say, but other times I'm not quite sure. And it's usually only when I can tell they're hungry or want to cuddle or stuff like that. I can't understand full sentences and sometimes nothing at all on more complex questions.

Rose - my Audino - has also been learning letters and sounds, to speak the common tongue of Man. It's... made it easier, I must admit. But perhaps I can use this to aid others who do not have this advantage.

...I'm still a new trainer, and yet I want to aid others. I suppose things don't change.

That's amazing! I wonder if any of mine could do that.

Yeah, we're in another world, but we're still the same people, really. The same wants and needs and stuff.

[ atsumu is still training to get the zephyr badge, and he would perhaps challenge her, but— if she's won, it's because she's at the level for it, and he isn't. he's not going to fight a battle that's already slanted. he's going to fight a battle to win. in the meantime, it's late afternoon, he's just gotten off of work with bags full of vitamins for his pokemon. one of the newer additions to his team happens to be a rowdy zigzagoon zig-zagging all over the place to provoke two resting foxes. freezer doesn't seem to like it, while swipes just looks slyly amused. ]

[ She watches the video, with a little chuckle. On her side, her Pachirisu pops up onto camera to chirp along with Minfilia. Hm... perhaps she should see if one of these Zigzagoon wishes to join her. ]

That's the strange thing. I've asked them, and none of them could communicate what it was like. Even the ones who have telepathy.

But if we meet in Azalea... I would like that. Perhaps we could have a battle before the next badge?

Congrats! Those fights can get pretty tough. It's kind of embarrassing, but I lost the last one I tried, to be honest...

I know it's weird, but apparently the boxes are just fine! I kind of had the same question about the Pokéballs at first, you know? But Pokémon are pretty smart, so they'll just tell you if they don't like what you're doing with them.

I thought I would lose at one point, as well. [ She remains on video, but she subconsciously puts a hand to the inert pearl in her ear. ] Yet, I trusted in my allies.

I trust their judgement with these boxes and balls, as well - even if we do not share a common tongue. Yet, I want them to be more then allies - I wish for them to be friends.

It's natural to get attached, right? Even if you use them to fight, Pokémon are kind of like pets.

[Of course, he may be biased. Mafioso that he may be, Doppio has always been a fan of little critters.]

I believe they're more then pets. They're as smart as any one of us.

[Sure, maybe people don't usually think of pets as "smart," but... they can be pretty clever, right?]

I've always wondered about the box too. None of my Pokemon could really tell me what it's like in there, other than that they're at least comfortable. They do seem fine, but I still feel bad so I try to spend as much time with all of them when I'm staying in a town or city.

[ And she's gotten...quite a bit of Pokemon by now. ]

But, um...congratulations for your win at the gym! I hear those are pretty tough.

It was quite hard. But I don't think Falkner expected me to ask my Trapinch to use Dig as a movement attack - I hope the gym won't take too long to fill those holes.

[ A pause, as her Audino is chuckling a little in the background. ] I thought it was just mine who could not describe it - though images drawn or the little we can communicate. I cannot help but worry... then again, I have begun to doubt that this land has bad intentions for Pokemon.

Perhaps there is a reason for us only having six on the road, other then convenience.

Yeah, I don't think they're in danger in there. This world seems very dedicated to learning and understanding Pokemon, so I can't imagine they'd make people store their Pokemon any place that's bad for them.

I wonder if part of it might be to allow people to bond with their Pokemon. It can be a bit difficult to really get to know your team if you have too many of them to attend to at once.

[ Not for her, since she's surrounded by Pokemon a lot of the time anyway. But not everyone is able to do handle that many creatures at once. ]

Perhaps. I can imagine those who are not experienced in tending to the needs of many or for tribal affairs [ ??? she does not elaborate on that ] would require such a limit.

...May I ask if you were one who tended to animals before arriving here? You seem to have a bit of knowledge on such.
