Kimmuriel's new Gligar, taking its apparent favored spot clinging to its new trainer's back, trills aggressively when disturbed. Her tail snaps to and fro, ready to punish the interloper, and only stills when Kimmuriel holds up a hand as he turns.

"I suppose this amuses you," he says, flat and unaffected as usual. Not a very good target for surprises, it seems.
