[The video feed opens with Radley filming as he goes outside on his property to see what some of his Pokemon are exclaiming about. He almost drops the PokeGear when he sees.]

What the ... ?!??!!!

[Pikachu and Alolan Raichu are surfing in the pond.]

Just ... how?!??!

[Evie makes an exclamation of delight and runs over to the shore.]

Evie! Evie, no! Come back!

[Evie has already leaped onto the surf board to ride with Raichu. She warbles in delight.

Radley slaps his forehead.]

Oh gosh. Evie!

[He's terrified of Electric types attacking him, but he's more afraid of them getting mad and hurting Evie. He watches for a moment, tense, but they seem friendly and welcoming to her being there. Seeing that, he keeps filming the video, but it's probably shaky until his hands stop shaking.]

So ... I'm not gonna antagonize these guys. But ... what do I do about this? How are they even surfing in my pond?!

[A crowd is starting to gather outside the property fence, enjoying the show. Seeing this, Radley ponders. If Evie's not in danger, and people like this, maybe it can turn to his advantage. Maybe he can subtly hint at the crowd getting some food to eat while watching the entertainment.]

... They are pretty skilled at what they do. I have to say I'm impressed. Anyone wanna drop by and see this in person?

[Her tone is definitely more amused than judgmental, though.]

[Radley has a very good reason for it, but he likely doesn't want to talk about it unless the conversation leads in that direction or unless seriously asked.]

Oh, I panicked then too.

[He smirks dryly.]

At this rate it will be a wonder if anyone notices when disaster actually does befall you, Radley.

If these guys were aggressive, it would be a disaster.

[Radley is emphatic about that.]

Perhaps. [Shrug.] At least it isn't those fish again.

[Radley's eyes darken.]

[That is definitely a Pokemon he wants nothing to do with, in case it happens again by touching them. More ghosts are what he doesn't need.]

[Vierna had seen remarkably few ghosts, for being one of three - arguably two - surviving members of her family. The one persistent ghost had been enough.]

Well, the creatures in this time and place aren't often aggressive, anyway.

Evie seems to be enjoying herself.

Yeah, it's definitely a lot better here than in the past.

[He has to smile at that.]

She sure is.

[Evie warbles happily.]

Do you intend to evolve her at some point? Most of mine have gone from cute to somewhat ungainly by now.

[There's an indignant Meow as Nathafay, her Meowstic, pushes her way into frame. Vierna rolls her eyes and scoops the cat-like pokemon up under one arm as she continues to hold the pokegear to film herself with the other hand, looking down at her to scold -]

I said most, did I not?

[Radley chuckles at the interruption.]

Evie doesn't want to, so she has an Everstone. I'm sure some of the others will want to sometime. Whenever they're ready, I'll respect their wishes.

[Elliott the Espurr peeks into the frame.]

None of mine have exactly been hesitant about it.

[She pauses, thinking. Nathafay blinks a slow kitty-greeting to Elliott.]

Although save for Ethetyrr's second evolution, none of them have needed anything more than experience to trigger it. Perhaps that makes a difference.

[Elliott blinks back.]

With Eevees, I think most of their evolutions require an item to evolve? Although I'm not sure if Espeons and Umbreons require that.

You've been researching such things, then?

Yeah. I wanted to see whether anything would take us by surprise. I think Espeon and Umbreon require items too, but I'm not positive on that. I'll have to double-check. It would be weird if they don't, though, when the others do.

[She shrugs.]

You are much better versed in the habits of Eevees than I, I must admit.

[Radley chuckles.]

I kinda have to be. It's nice.

[Several chorus in the background.]
