Summary: Guys bein' dudes. Shopping for their pokemon (and for Hawks) who are totally not spoiled.

After their tournament entries, both of them need a little R&R which is retail and... retail. They both managed new little ones into their growing group of pokemon and why not celebrate that by going on a little shopping trip? With places that could spoil all their pokemon and a certain other bird type, Shoto knows that he's going to have his wallet out more than he's ever done.

It finds him holding his Mimikyu's hand and dealing with a teapot floating beside him. The rest of them he has safely in his pokeballs as not to let the babies wander too far since his adult pokemon are less mature when they get going. "We should get them sweaters. For the Winter."

Hearing the name of a pokemon he found and entrusted in trade to his friend is heartening and he's buckled in, somehow, even if he doesn't know he should be. Shoto is pleased to hear that he'd done something good for Kirishima in that way, too. He nods his head, those seem like good match ups, "I think they would like that. I stopped collecting badges for a while and I feel like that would do them well."

While pausing to look at something for Hawks, Shoto turns his attention to Kirishima, "You can always ask any favour. What can I do for you?"

"Can you trade me something for Machoke some time soon? Temporarily!" Kirishima shifts is weight from foot to foot and touches the back of his neck, but there's a hint of excitement there. "He's been wanting to evolve for a while now, but I dunno... it just hasn't felt like a good thing to do until this tournament happened."

Temporarily seems a little more the speed when Kirishima rushes to make certain that's part of the deal. After hearing him out, Shoto concludes easily, "That's not a favour." and adds after it, "We can do that today if he wants. We're here for new things, maybe you can surprise him with a gift of your own choosing. Like a birthday that isn't."

With Machoke being the first Pokemon partner Kirishima ever had, he's rather attached to the guy.

"Heh, I think you're right. I don't think he'd wanna have to share it with my birthday." Kirishima's satisfied with how Machoke's been comporting himself lately, but he's realistic - his Pokemon is still a bit of a diva. "Thanks, man. It means a lot to me. You're the closest friend I've got, so I'm glad I'm doing it with you."

Shoto does understand the weight of being asked, but never will he consider it a favour. "No, your birthday is your own." That's also yet another important day for Kirishima and while a great many people are born that day, so was this man. Important nonetheless.

About to say they could go ask what sorts of things there are for this occasion, Shoto is stopped dead in his tracks by that admission. Fleetingly, Bakugo is gone, so is everyone but him and Hawks, but then again a whole world around them. "It means a lot to me, too." A hand reaches out to Kirishima's shoulder and he gives it a small squeeze. Here, or home, he's got Kirishima's back in whatever he needs. "Do you know what he'll evolve to? I'm not overly familiar with fighting types."

Even when Bakugou and Midoriya were here, Shoto was an invaluable friend to him, and he'd have said as much if he knew those thoughts were going on. But he smiles instead at the hand on his shoulder and reaches to squeeze the forearm attached to it in turn. Manly affection.

"Yeah. He'll be a Machamp. They're a little bigger and they've got four arms. I almost let that slip earlier." When he was talking about the sweaters.
