Seventh Spell: In Azalea Town. Text [open to voice/video].
Getting to Azalea Town took a little longer than Keldor expected it to. Between fog so thick that traveling on foot was inadvisable due to the high likelihood of possible injury from unseen hazards, drizzle and just general cold that comes with the change in season, what would normally take a week to travel the route to Azalea ended up nearly taking two.
[Which gave the Stantler he'd rescued not that long ago time to catch up to him and practically beg to join up with him in gratitude.]
But he got here anyways, and wasted no time in visiting the Pokemon Centre to heal up his 'mons and in getting himself a room to rent, just so he could get warm again [cold weather is not something Keldor is used to]. Which took another few days just to get the chill out of his bones.
Currently Keldor's sitting in one of the local Tim Hoothooton's, enjoying what passes for coffee in these parts. It's not great [really it's better as a handwarmer and a source of caffeine than it is a drink], but he does rather enjoy the small, sweet round bits of baked goods he got to go along with the coffee [he'll get more of them before he goes].
As he does this, he types out his message.
I shall make this as brief as possible. The season of cold is about to start, and with all the equipment I need to carry it would be difficult to have to carry it all myself. Would it be better to have one's pokemon carry some of it, or would obtaining a vehicle be more ideal?
Pause. He had been drafting up a design for a small vehicle like a cart that could have both wheels and skids so it could be used year round, but maybe someone has a better idea.
What have you used in the past, those of you who have resided here longer?

[He hopes Keldor really is ready to face it, for the Pokemon's sake as well as his own.]

Sometimes that's an even bigger motivator.]
I admit, it will not be easy, but it will be worth doing.

If he can overcome this, he might gain the ability to be able to stand up to his former teacher. Really stand up, because he knows that things aren't finished between them yet, if his recurring dreams are anything to go by.]
I cannot keep avoiding this. Not if I... I...

This sounds more serious than a regular phobia about something. Is there more to it?
no subject
Phobia? No. I am not afraid of bats. It is more what they represent to meātheir symbolism, than it is a thing to be frightened of.

[Should he correct Radley about this? Being afraid of Hordak isn't some irrational fear he's blown out of proportion. Hordak has plans for his pupil, and Keldor knows it. He hasn't given up just because Keldor stood up to him that one time. He'll still want to get his hooks into Keldor before it's all over.]
All the more reason to face it.

So what I was originally trying to say was that I don't think your feelings are a phobia now, even if I wondered before. It's fine if you don't feel comfortable telling me, but I hope you're successful at what you're hoping to do.

[Once he's figured out how to broach the topic.]
And thank you. With your confidence I shall overcome it.

[Radley smiles.]
I'm sure you will.

[As you do.]
Momiji was quite delighted to see me again after so long.
[She'll probably want one of his Timbits once she sees and/or smells them.]

[Radley smiles, remembering the reunion after finally getting back from Hisui.]

[Extra-special.]
I would have selected Ganpi or Gingko, but I do not know if they would appreciate the cold any more than I do.
[Why not buy them sweaters or other warm clothes? They might like it. It would also be adorable.]
no subject
You might wanna get some winter clothes for your Pokemon. Some of mine are really into that.
no subject
[Gotta be a good trainer, taking care of your 'mons.]
Especially for those that dislike the cold.
[How adorable. A little butterfly like Ganpi dressed up in winter woolies.]

[His Pokemon warble happily. They love visiting them.]

[And if not, well, you can always get it delivered from another city.]

[Busy day tomorrow? Yup.]

[Maybe not a lot of variety, but something, at least.]

I should hope so. There is a forest nearby. I should like to think that the merchants here would offer something to keep people warm whilst traversing a forest.

[It'll be useful information should he ever find his way back home and he's in a region with more seasonal variation in weather.]
