So just out of curiosity - and I am aware this might be a very stupid question - how long ought we expect this "snow" nonsense to continue.

Not a bad idea. Sturdier boots, good gloves, and a hat are a godsend, I'd say.

I think I've found I dislike snow immensely if I have to deal with it directly.

Hm. Well, I received a cloak and a scarf as holiday gifts, those ought to help. [Also a hat, but as it looks like a delibird and she is therefore fairly sure it is meant to mock her, she is not yet desperate enough to wear it in public.]

I was hoping to continue my travels soon, but I don't think I'll be taking to the road before it thaws.

Oh, most certainly. I can point you toward a few good hats that I've found if you find yourself still in need of one.

I can't blame you for that. It's been much the same for myself and at least another member of my group. We may make an exception for cities that we can access via the warp pads, but beyond that, we're likely not heading anywhere new until spring.
