It's a very cozy scene, except for the distinctly annoyed look on Vierna's face.]

So just out of curiosity - and I am aware this might be a very stupid question - how long ought we expect this "snow" nonsense to continue.

Mostly we managed to bring back unusual breeds of a few kinds of pokemon.

Well, the locals seem to think Arceus is a god, and something is preventing me from communing with my own goddess here.

[Also something turned her human, but technically that doesn't require divinity.]

I had suspected there was an active force at work preventing my summoning, but I hadn't thought there was a name to go along with it...I suppose concrete information on Arceus is naturally hard to come by?

There may be others who know more than I. Arceus does not seem to require any active appeasement, and it would be... unseemly, for a priestess of Lolth to spend overmuch attention on another god.

Well, I married the demon king, I'm out of the running for deity wrangling. I suppose that just means finding someone it would deign to speak to...

For the best, likely. I disagreed very violently with the last several gods who tried to make a plaything of me, but I doubt very much I could, like this.

Better, then, to be at the largely harmless whims of an overgrown llama with the power cosmic.

What, pray tell, is a "llama"?

A llama is a domesticated ungulate kept largely as a beast of burden and for it's wool. It can also be milked, if you have a particular death wish. They are ill-tempered territorial demonic hoofbeasts that fear not pain, death, nor any laws of man or god.

I suppose I see the resemblance? We don't have those where I come from, but then, [SHRUG] we have already established that we don't have weather where I come from.

I was considering asking if you grew up on the moon or in a bubble, yes.

Oh, no, just the Underdark. [She says, as if a continent-spanning cave system is a normal thing for a world to have.] I am a drow elf, my current appearance notwithstanding.

Subterranean...that'd do it. I would certainly hope no one tries to keep underground ungulates.

[She pauses for a moment.] I don't think that's a species of elf that exists where I'm from, how interesting.

[They do but only in ways that would break the fourth wall, so Misaki is tragically ignorant of the games her children play.]

Well, we do have deep rothé, for meat and dairy and fiber, but they're not suited as beasts of burden.

[She shrugs.] Our history tells us that we split off from our faerie cousins quite abruptly.
