Hello and happy new year, everyone. I've got a question or two for you all. First--as someone who's had very little in the way of hobbies, even before coming here, I'm looking for some suggestions. [A beat.] Given the time of year and the weather, things that require minimal going outside preferred, but I'll gladly hear other suggestions for later.

Secondly, as someone who has trouble relaxing, any advice or ideas on that particular front would be welcome. I'm starting to realize I may need it.

It's a trading card game in my world that relies on strategy and a bit of luck. There's a few of us that play it here. My deck needs serious revamping though.

It's definitely a helpful skill to learn, though I hadn't really thought about treating it like a hobby.

Honestly, it sounds rather intriguing. I wasn't really one for games or anything back home, but...

It's a lot of fun if you enjoy being creative and trying different ideas out. There's so many differen decks you can build depending on the strategy you want to try or the monster theme you want to go with.

Well, I personally run a torture themed deck. It's meant to slowly inflict pain against my opponents over time. A bit... dark in some of the card choices but it's fun.

There's warriors, mages, bugs, dinosaurs, mythological creatures, occult based, cartoons... You can make almost anything, really.

Fascinating... It really is a shame the game can't be fully engaged with here. I wouldn't mind giving it a try otherwise.

There's a pokémon card game here that seems a bit similar in its premise and gameplay but it's... treated very strangely. I tried asking about it months ago when I was in Goldenrod. The store employees acted really evasive.

That is very strange... Though, I suppose to locals there's little point when you can just go and train a Pokémon yourself...

That makes sense when you put it that way. It does give you the chance to have the legendaries in your deck if you manage to pull them from a pack.
