Hello and happy new year, everyone. I've got a question or two for you all. First--as someone who's had very little in the way of hobbies, even before coming here, I'm looking for some suggestions. [A beat.] Given the time of year and the weather, things that require minimal going outside preferred, but I'll gladly hear other suggestions for later.

Secondly, as someone who has trouble relaxing, any advice or ideas on that particular front would be welcome. I'm starting to realize I may need it.

Yeah, honestly, being here has kind of been a vacation for me. At home it's always one crazy adventure after the other.

I suppose it's a bit like a vacation for me, too. [But he has to admit, his curiosity's piqued.] What sorts of crazy adventures?

Usually treasure hunts, or sometimes just "educational" [And yes, he does airquotes... But as he goes on, he gets less snarky and more exasperated.] trips to explore. I would've been fine with the treasure hunting but everything's always got traps, or there's a curse, or someone's trying to get their first or claim their vengeance on my family...

It just gets really tiring!

Goodness. No wonder this has practically been a vacation for you. It almost sounds like you live in an adventure movie all the time back home.

[On the one hand, at least it sounds like it's never boring, but on the other, "boring" sounds like a good opportunity to just breathe.]

Uh-huh, that's why I'm not really worried about getting home. I mean, I know it's possible, it already happened once, and-- Look, it's not like home's bad! Or that I don't miss my family! I'm just not in a rush.

I mean, I sure think so. I'm just not so used to other people thinking that.
