Keldor would like to tell you about how he'd known what cold was until the Frigibax came to town [he'll probably have to scrape the hoarfrost off its pokeball whenever he takes the one he got out of storage]. He'd like to tell you about how the Azumarills that invaded were a little tougher than usual [Grass is supposed to be strong against Water, but these Azumarills didn't get that memo].

He'd even like to talk about the egg he got from Arceus around Christmas time [hi, Shishito!].

But no. He's not talking about that. Yet.

The camera is angled so that you can see a pair of eggs sitting on top of a bed, with their parents standing off-camera.

They were laid yesterday, when he'd let his pokemon—including the Decidueye—out of their balls for a stretch [he'd only been out of the room for a few minutes when it happened!].

"I was told this was a thing that can occur," his offscreen voice can be heard speaking, while the parents stand by looking proud and Shishito crawls over them. This is still quite the surprise. "But I was not expecting it to happen ... if not ever, then at least not for some time."

He's not entirely sure if he should A: give away/sell them or B: keep them and be a kind of honourary granddad to a couple of Rowlets.

Maybe he should think on that.

"No, no I do not think I would."

Pause.

"Unless, of course, that is a possibility."

Hey you never know with pokemon.

Radley has to laugh. "Okay, yeah, who knows. If it's a Togepi, they like to keep staying in the egg. And there's Exeggcute...."

"There is also anything new that is yet to be discovered."

Like his Fuecoco. He's certain that's new. The 'dex didn't have much info to give him about it when Shishito hatched recently, and that usually happens when the data available is insufficient.

"True. There might be more new Pokemon where the Christmas ones came from," Radley mused.

"Yes. The arrival of this ... 'Fuecoco' ... and the others that have been seen on the network are but only the first wave of what is to come."

Brief pause to bring Shishito into view. He blinks back, not sure what it is that's been pointed at him.

"...co?"

"Is yours out of its egg yet?"

"That very well could be ... or do you have some inside information?" Radley playfully smiles.

"Yeah, he has! Here he is." He holds up a Sprigatito, who meows.

"It is a reasonable deduction to make, given that I have seen a few posts from others about what they got."

And even if what appeared on the network is all there is, there's still evolution to take into consideration.

"Co?"

"You wish to see?"

"Coco!"

"All right. This is Radley's..."

Uh...

"...new pokemon."

"True," Radley muses.

He smiles. "This is Felix. He's a Sprigatito."

"Fue! Fuefue!"

Shishito's practically bouncing on the bed, making the Rowlet eggs wobble.

"Easy now. Let me move these out of the way first."

A small crocodile-slash-chili-pepper thing can't do much damage jumping on the bed, the way it could a pair of eggs, can it?

Radley is definitely concerned when Shishito gets that excited. "Yeah, you'd better move them," he say.

Felix meows.

Fire types can get rather energetic at times, can't they? Especially when they're still young enough to be considered a "child".

"CO! CO! FUEFUECO!"

"Alright, Shishito. That is enough for now."

"...co?"

Awwww... :(

Radley wouldn't know about that, since he tends to avoid Fire. But he thinks the enthusiasm is cute, as long as eggs aren't at risk.

Felix purrs and rubs the screen.

"I will take you out later to play. Would you like that?"

"Co? Co?"

"Then you can jump about as you please."

It might be cold out, but,

"Co!"

Deal!

Radley chuckles. "That sounds fun. We like to go outside and play most days."

"He enjoys the opportunity to frolick. And when the Eevee arrives, he will have someone to frolick with."

That is important. And together they can wear each other out with their cavorting about.

"Oh yeah, they're great at that," Radley chuckles.

Several start warbling.

"They like talking too."

"I can only imagine what they talk about, but play is not a thing that requires any kind of translation."

It really is a universal.

“Yeah, it’s nice that way,” Radley smiles.

Evie warbles happily.

"Co!" Shishito interjects. If they're gonna talk about playtime, then he wants to add his two poke dollars.

"Shishito I will take you out soon."

"...co...."

C'mon, man...

Evie warbles happily.

"Maybe I'd better let you take Shishito out now."

"Fuefuefue! Cococo!"

Radley has the right idea, so get on it, man!

"I will. Soon."

"COCOCOCO!"

Try "now", dangit!

"You are persistent."

"Eevee-Eevee-Eevee!" Evie exclaims, running in a circle.

"It looks like Evie wants to play too. She and Shishito would probably have a ball."

They'll have to arrange a playgroup sometime.

"Should I ever be in Goldenrod again, I shall bring him over..."

Wait. He's been to Goldenrod already. Would that one trip allow him to use the warp pad? Would it even count?

He could try. Possibly after he's battled Bugsy he could test the pads to see if it'll let him travel to Goldenrod.

"But not right away."

Hopefully it would count. Radley wouldn't be sure. The rules might not allow it.

"Yeah, you've got a battle to win first."

"Yes I do."

He might even pop by the gym to see what sort of things he'll be up against, or to see if the leader is home.
