I have a dilemma.

[Vierna sounds rather harried, and has to raise her voice a little over a repetitive metallic sound; as she turns the camera to display the source of the noise, it proves to be a Tinkatuff sitting in the middle of her kitchen floor and cheerfully hammering at something.]

I gave her a couple of pieces of cheap cookware and that seemed to keep her happy before she evolved, but now she seems to want to augment her weapon further? The pokedex indicates she'd hunt other steel-types for raw material in the wild, but none of her natural prey are to be found in or around Goldenrod.

I truly do not wish to have to prevent her from trying to dismantle the clothes-washing machine again.

Steel and Fairy? A rare combination, to say the least.

[He can think of Klefki, Mawile... One or two rarer species, perhaps?]

And of course, since her species is far from common at the moment, you cannot easily compare her creations with others' to learn more about her creative process.

As far as I can tell, I may be the only trainer in Johto with one of her kind - she hatched from the egg I received at Christmas, and although I know many others also received previously unknown pokemon in the same manner, I haven't seen anyone else report having hatched a Tinkatink.

I've not seen one either, until now. One has to wonder how many such species appeared on that day... Still, while being the only one of her kind in Johto and Kanto might sound terribly lonely, she does not seem terribly bothered.

She gets along well enough with my other pokemon, except that she tries to bully my Honedge, and luckily he is adept enough at staying out of her way. I don't think she's lonesome.

That's good to hear, both for her sake and your Honedge's. Then again, even if she was, her hobby seems to distract her well enough.
