Some of you may remember a couple months ago when Mirabel had made a post announcing my birthday. Well, now it's finally her turn to get some attention!

Everyone be sure to send some birthday wishes and love to Mirabel Madrigal, AKA the most amazing little sister ever!

[ Sitting at the table in the dining room is a colorfully wrapped box, which held an assortment of colorful yarn, threads, and fabrics. The fabrics especially ranged from plain but brightly colored, to floral patterns, and some even cute Pokemon patterns.

On the box is a card that reads "¡Feliz cumpleaños, Mira! ¡Te quiero!" ]

Thank you, I'll let her know you said that. Honestly, there are different ways that birthdays can be celebrated. Some people have parties to celebrate with family and friends, and eat their favorite foods, and a lot of people give the birthday person gifts.

What are acceptable things to give as gifts?

There were no birthdays in the Junkyard. Celebrating even victory was a concept we were not given. I want to learn about celebrations, so I may also take part in them someday.

What are Mirabel's favorite foods? I have been learning how to make things; perhaps I can do that for her as a gift.

[Really, Mirabel hadn’t planned on doing anything too big for her birthday. Even though she couldn’t believe it - a year had passed and she was 16 now!

She opens the gift, and she’s delighted by what’s inside. That’s why she goes to find Luisa - regardless of what she’s doing, and gives her a great big hug!]

Gracias, Luisa! The fabric and yarn is just what I wanted!!

[ At the moment, Luisa is working on making lunch. Her food certainly isn't as good as their mother's, but she likes to think that she had improved quite a bit since she first arrived in this world. And she wanted to give Mira a home-cooked meal to celebrate today as well.

She's not entirely surprised when Mirabel appears in the kitchen, though, and with a grin she happily returns the hug. ]

Mirabel... She's the pretty girl with green glasses, right? We talked a bit last month, but I didn't know she was here with any family. That's really nice for you guys. Tell her the guy with the Applin says happy birthday, if you don't mind. And that I'm sorry if I weirded her out when we spoke.

[You would think a smart kid like Varian would be more aware of the fact that this is not a private conversation, but honestly, he just doesn't think about that aspect of it much.]
