Day at the races
Who: Anyone coming to race!
Where: Circuit de Kantochamps
When: September 15th
Summary: Farrah Ari has a problem and she has appealed to you for help!
Log:
On September 15, all who have given heed to Farrah's plea for help gather at Circuit de Kantochamps over in, well, Kanto. UBIRDS were arranged by Farrah for the event (she really, really wants someone to beat these little jerks) so anyone, anywhere is welcome to join!
Once you arrive at the Circuit, Farrah can be seen pacing and muttering to herself, her Cyclizar Charles trying his level best to calm her down. It doesn't look like she is interested in a chat right now. Neither would you be, probably, if your Circuit was absolutely flooded with strange Tentacool knock-offs (If you scan them with your gear, the Pokedex will tell you these pokemon are called Toedscool) who are all jumping around, stretching, wrestling a bit amongst each other and being a rather general nuisance. Though if anyone tries to tell them off, they very quickly flee to hide behind--
Oh good god.
That's an absolutely massive Tentacruel-- no, Toedscruel. She towers over the many little Toedscool, patting them with her massive tentacles, and having the audacity to glare at you if you even dare to look slightly funny at her very precious brood.
Unfortunately, because of how quickly Farrah had to put this all together, there aren't a lot of side activities available at the circuit right now. There is The Race obviously, but apart from that, you are free to check out The Stables where Farrah's Cyclizar are being kept. If you are interested in borrowing one for the race, you might want to head over there a little early and get to meet your new ride.
The other thing that is available is A Small Museum. And we do mean small! It's barely two rooms, but it is filled with memorabilia of Cyclizar racers and racing from outside of this region. It honestly looks less like a formal museum, and more like someone's personal collection that has grown massively out of control. But hey, if you have an interest in learning a bit more about Cyclizar racing (or if you just want a quiet place to flee the crowd) feel free to check it out.

They hadn't done very well during the race, but they'd been untested together. Prex originally belonged to Thace, and Keith inherited the massive Pokémon when Thace left PokéWorld. They hadn't worked together all that much other than riding together a few times recently since Keith had been rehabbing that weakened ankle (which was doing better!).
Overall, they were both visibly tired and dirty, and Keith was in the process of cleaning up Prex's coat from all the dirt and grime after having given him some berries and potions and other things to heal up any injuries from the spikes and other obstacles, as well as making sure there wasn't any lingering paralysis from the Pincurchins.
He spotted Keldor with his notebook next to the Arcanine and gave him a nod and a small smile.
"How'd you do?" he asked.

We'll not even entertain the earlier impulse of burning it all down.Anyways, it's Asama who notices Keith first, and begins wagging her tail. Does he have more food? Keldor only gave her a couple nibbles. She barks in hope, which alerts Keldor.
"I am not too sure. I finished the race, but not amongst the first."
Oh, there were people behind him as well as in front, but his assessment isn't dependent upon where he finished but how.
"I suppose time could have been improved by making use of the maze's damage, but I do not know if Asama would have been able to squeeze through the holes."
no subject
"Yeah," he agreed. "I had that issue, too, with Prex's size. Had to make new ones or make the existing ones bigger."
Keith managed to grab a berry before Prex scarfed it down and tossed it in Asama's direction. And then thought about if he should have checked with Keldor first before feeding the other Pokémon. Oops...?
"Ah, sorry... do you mind if I gave your Arcanine a berry?"
no subject
"I suppose it was better that we— You do not like the flavour?" he asks, now eying Asama as she makes faces over it.
Asama whines, tongue out.
"Was it dry?"
She groans.
Ah, well. It's only one berry. And it's only the flavour.
"No. It is fine, though she prefers the sour types most."
no subject
"They certainly can be picky sometimes," he said. "This guy isn't picky about that, though. He'll eat any berry I give him." At his size, though, it was a lot of berries. "Here... This one's mostly sour." He tossed the Nomel berry over to Keldor first this time. "A little spicy, but not dry at all."
Prex gave a slight shake and Keith had to flinch back to avoid getting even dirtier.

"It is a trait that I have found makes it easier to facilitate the bonding process."
He's beginning to win over his Scyther by making sure Kodachi eats what it likes best, and hopefully will be able to trust it enough to evolve it.
"Here."
One piece at a time, so as to not wolf it all down.
no subject
"Well, it seems that berry's a little more favorable." He nodded, then.
"It's a good thing to remember, for sure," he said. "Most of mine are pretty easy going about it, but I have some picky ones, too."
no subject
Gotta battle 'em all to feed 'em all, but some of you guys are gonna have to settle for berries for a while.
no subject
"You're handling it okay, though? I find that sometimes you can find things loose on the ground, and, if it's not something you really need, you can sell it back to the PokeMarts for extra cash."
no subject
Pause. That sounds like something he should be doing.
"That is sound advice. I do not know what the carrying capacity is for our bags, but it would be best to reserve it for more useful items. And the money can be spent elsewhere."
Like on food for pokemon.
no subject
"I've been able to carry a pretty decent amount," he said. "Haven't run out of room, yet, at least." But he also tended to sell things he didn't use fairly quickly in order to buy things that were more useful.
"Some Pokémon have skills that help with finding things, too," he said. "If they know things like Pick Up, they'll help you locate all kinds of stuff."
