[Action/Video- Ecruteak City]
[The first thing to appear on the video is a growlithe, staring forward with his all-too-typical vacant expression. He pants a little, and his head is cocked just enough to allow a rather long string of slobber to trail from its mouth. In front of it is a hunk of red stone, a gift from her partner only a few weeks prior.]
[The video wobbles as Hawke fiddles with it, piercing blue eyes and dark hair onally appearing on screen as she fidgets with it, making sure the pokemon is perfectly in focus. Once she's certain that everything is perfect, Hawke leans over and smacks her knees, immediately drawing the beast's attention.]
Alright big guy, just as we practiced!
[D.T. lets out a sharp yap, pouncing forward and onto the stone. The effect was almost instantaneous, both stone and beast lighting up in a bright, white glow. A blob replaces the shape that D.T. once held, and that blog slowly begins to grow in size. When it finally rivals the size of an extremely tall man, the shape grows outward, finally taking the form of a rather large dog.]
[And then it moves, disappearing from the screen. Its lunge knocks the pokegear free, and it hits the ground just as a loud oof escapes Hawke's mouth. Those not watching the video feed and instead witnessing the woman completely buried beneath a mound of orange and black fur. The video rotates between focusing on the grass in front of it and the dog burying the woman.]
You blighted oaf! [The voice from beneath the dog is breathy and strained. A pair of legs kicks out, immediately pounding on the grass beneath her.]
[It would seem Hawke's Growlithe has successfully evolved into an Arcanine.]

[All her efforts to remind Johto that she was the Champion where she came from were quickly going to waste.]
[After giving her head a scratch, she shakes the growing frown from her lips. No sense pouting over it and making matters even worse.]
I haven't seen your face on the feed. You new here? [As if she was some kind of expert on who was who here. She barely pays any amount of attention to the network.]

Most of it was embarrassment from himself, though.]
Sort of. I think it's only been a little over a month, maybe two since I got here. [Again. Bertolt is still trying to come to grips with the fact that he's been here before, but so far that 'secret' is between himself, Sion, and unknowingly Armin too.] I'm still adjusting to everything so I haven't really, uh, put anything up.

[Hawke blinked. Sure, she hadn't been paying attention to anyone else that much, but, still... It was surprising that the man on the other end may well have been there longer than she had.]
Well... I guess I'll save my welcome speech for someone else. [Not that she had one planned.]
So. Bertolt, you said? Name's Hawke. First name doesn't matter.
