[The scene that comes up on the feed is a very cozy one indeed: a pot of soup? Stew? Something like that on the stove of a small apartment kitchen, with a clutch of eggs wrapped around the main living area of said apartment, covered in blankets and a hot water bottle or two. Yes, there is a tacky Christmas mug filled with some sort of hot beverage on the table. It's being watched by a sushi-shaped dragon at the moment.

Laszlo is holding one of the eggs as they wrap it in Yet Another Blanket.]

There is something I do not understand. My uncle, you see, he used to breed hunting dogs.

[They pet a very bread-tastic dog next to them on the couch. The dog yawns, her accomplishments in egg-laying not going unappreciated.]

Why do they lay eggs.

I wish I could tell you. I have been here almost two years and the question still comes back to haunt me occasionally.

[Usually when his and Abbacchio's Pokemon have eggs.]

Good question. I know sheep don't come from eggs and yet...

[Hiccup turns the camera to a pair of Wooloo, one shiny and one not. His hand gesturing at them.]

And yet these guys did.

[Oh. That. Yeah. Though... Keith was going to be that guy.]

Actually... they find the eggs. They don't lay them. And they find them while frolicking.

[Because this world was like a kids' game or something...]

Why are they able to be captured in small balls and learn how to manipulate the elements?
gobetween: (Can you believe this?)

Do they... not usually...??

That is... a great question.

Apparently some people have got theories on it? Like Pokemon being composed of energy, and the eggs just being another evolution, or something like that... it's definitely a lot to get used to, though, I feel you on that.
