[The scene that comes up on the feed is a very cozy one indeed: a pot of soup? Stew? Something like that on the stove of a small apartment kitchen, with a clutch of eggs wrapped around the main living area of said apartment, covered in blankets and a hot water bottle or two. Yes, there is a tacky Christmas mug filled with some sort of hot beverage on the table. It's being watched by a sushi-shaped dragon at the moment.
Laszlo is holding one of the eggs as they wrap it in Yet Another Blanket.]
There is something I do not understand. My uncle, you see, he used to breed hunting dogs.
[They pet a very bread-tastic dog next to them on the couch. The dog yawns, her accomplishments in egg-laying not going unappreciated.]
Why do they lay eggs.

Actually... they find the eggs. They don't lay them. And they find them while frolicking.
[Because this world was like a kids' game or something...]

Sorry, man, but yeah. That's apparently how this place works. I mean, I'm pretty sure we all know what really happens, but no one's actually seen it happen. And, if you ask any of the natives, they all say the same thing. They just find the eggs while frolicking. No one seems to fully understand it. Even the professors.
Though, apparently, they do a lot of research... they just don't ever learn anything from that research.

How long ago was that...?

I want to say it was maybe twenty or so years before I was born? They did finally get around to it by the time I started practicing medicine.

Back home where I'm from, we've come a really long way since then... like centuries. They seem to be almost on par with that here... maybe a little behind when I'm from. So, I would think they do wash their hands, at least.
