Tinkering for gun and profit.
Who: Riz and Hiccup
Where: Blackthorn City
When: First-ish week of February.
Summary: Do you wanna build a GUN
Rating: Gen, possible mentions of canon typical violence.
Log:
By the time Riz managed to make it to Blackthorn, he was slightly cold, slightly grumpy and more than a bit travel-worn. Thankfully he hadn't needed to actually get through the whole Ice Cave, but just crossing Route 42 had been bad enough. With all the snow, the normal two-day route had turned into a three-day ordeal, and building a fire was a goddamn pain when everything was wet and frozen.
Thank god for being able to ride at least part of the way on Hangdog, or else, he might still be stuck there in the snow.
Though, now that he has made it to Blackthorn, Riz is presented with another problem. While he and Hiccup had made rough plans to meet up here (do it for the gun, had been a mantra for Riz all of these three days) they hadn't actually settled on a place where to meet. Or even a time.
Shuffling as far away from the nurses Joy as he can without leaving the poke-centre, Riz punches in Hiccups contact (filed neatly under business contacts) and waits for him to pick up.

"Hey, Riz," Hiccup calls out cheerfully while raising his hand in a wave. The guy has some smudges of soot on his face and clothes but otherwise looks pretty normal, minus the leg. He's wearing some clothes that he bought here in town since going around in dragon scale armor all the time probably wasn't the best idea.
"The workshop is this way, come on."
When they get there they can talk a bit more freely. Hiccup leads the way, and his Eiscue just stares at Riz curiously through the block of ice on its head.

"Right behind you."
And he is. But he also feels his neck prickle a bit from the stare he's receiving from the weird ice bird.
"Is, uh, is your bird okay?"
Its head is a block of ice. Is that normal or is that cause for concern?

“Yeah, he looks fine. Why?”
He’s been living with these weird birds for over a month now. He’s gotten used to it. Being stared at by icy faces all day and even waking up to it. Was definitely creepy at first.
Icecube meanwhile just keeps waddling along behind Hiccup.

But hey listen, if Hiccup says his bird is okay, Riz is willing to trust him on that. Pokemon just get so fucking weird that sometimes it is hard to tell if a particular situation is alarming or if it is just another Tuesday.
Riz scoffs for a moment (sounding very much like a certain fraggle) before shaking his head.
"Pokemon are so weird. One of mine is literally an animated husk. Don't get me wrong, he's badass as all hell, just. Weird."
