Vaulting Veluza! My Diary! [In person and Network Prompts]
Who: Jotaro Kujo and you!
Where: Around Kanto and Network
When: 28th of March Onwards
Summary: Jotaro's JoJournal is missing. During the Veluza swarm, Jotaro's journal pages have been scattered around Kanto and anywhere else the Veluza can be found!

[The video opens up to a very disgruntled forty-year old, looking like he's fighting a massive headache.]
Good Grief... As you can see, there's a Pokemon swarm happening here.
[He gestures behind him offhandedly. In the background, you'll see floating fish flying around the Viridian Forest, looking almost like they're cackling maniacally. Despite the lack of any rivers, oceans or even puddles, the water/psychic Pokemon are soaring everywhere like it's the deep blue sea, a comically chaotic background that contrasts the exasperated man in the foreground.]
Last night, while I was sleeping, my Veluza knocked over my bag and sent all my stuff everywhere. Amongst those things was my journal with all my notes from my time here in Johto and Kanto. The Veluza have scattered the pages from the binding and have been passing them back and forth between themselves for some reason.
...
I'll be around Pewter City in the next few days and then I'll be going towards Celadon City. If you see any of my pages, please collect them and return them to me. I'll attach to this message a page of my handwriting so you can crosscheck it.
[There is a long, long sigh. He looks so tired.]
...Some of those notes are very personal. I'm willing to offer a reward of money, eggs or even Pokemon for them back.
...
Also Jolyne, if you're watching this, you're forbidden from helping.

Action | OTA
[Jetstream the Veluza is very sorry. That's evident from the way he keeps poking his new trainer with his nose, eyes wide and sad. He didn't mean to tear up Jotaro's journal and share them with his friends! It just... sort of happened.
Jotaro isn't mad at Jetstream but his actions have not put him in a good mood. He now has to hunt down every Veluza he can find in a desperate attempt to find all the pages inside.
You'll find Jotaro along the west side of Kanto, practically chasing the swarm of psychic fishes. Maybe give him and his team a hand fighting them? It's okay if you don't, he may find you instead. If he sees you picking up any loose-leaf sheet of paper near one of the Veluza swarms, he'll trudge up to you and glare down.]
Is that yours?

[OOC: Feel Free to hand wave wherever you find them or which pages you find! Or just put a wildcard and I'll hit it back! For the record, the journal is here.]

I'll double the money he's offering and free access to breeding with my shiny Pokemon for breeders or priority eggs from whatever pair for trainers if you give me the pages instead.

When I said, "don't help", I thought "don't hinder me" was implied.
It's my private notebook, Jolyne. I don't want you reading it.
no subject
I'm just making sure you get them back since I have more things I can throw at this so you get them back~
Who said anything about reading them? [She totally will.]
no subject
... I'm being serious, Jolyne.
no subject
So am I? The bigger the reward the more likely people will help.
no subject
I meant about reading it. [It's important to him...]
...Do what you want. It's your money. I'm going to get as much as I can back on my own.
video;
I think I found some of your pages. They've made it all the way here to Saffron City. If my map is right, that's about halfway between Pewter and Celadon.
I confiscated the pages from the fish this morning. [ She'd thought maybe they could be evidence for Riz's conspiracy board. But they ended up just being scientific notes about various aquatic Pokemon instead. ] I can hold onto them for you, until you are able to make your way here.

Thank you. I'm glad all my notes aren't lost. My research is very dear to me. [Almost as much as his personal journal] It'll be a while since I've never been there before but I'll try get to Saffron as quick as I am able.

You can find me at [ INSERT ADDRESS HERE ]. I'll hold onto them for you.
They're impressively thorough. I... hope you don't mind that I read through them a bit. I didn't know what they were, at first.
no subject
Appreciated. [He'll note the address down on his phone.] Who do I ask for if I wanted them back? [Aka. What's your name?]
It's alright. It's only natural when you find a mysterious message. They're mostly various ideas I've had while exploring Johto and Kanto. I am interested in marine life, and how water Pokemon seamlessly regulate their osmotic pressure when moving from salt water and fresh water. There are a lot of questions you can ask just on that topic alone. "Do they all have osmolytes???" "Why is osmotic regulation so consistent for all species?" That sort of thing.
[Despite his appearance, he's a very enthusiastic researcher.]

[ Adaine wouldn't say that biology, or even more specifically marine life, is an area of particular interest for her, but it's still fascinating listen to an expert speak on his field of research. ]
What have you been able to find out? Is there any way to really determine the presence of osmolytes without a proper laboratory and the ability to analyze samples?
[ That's not even taking into account the limited sapience of Pokemon that would make obtaining biological samples somewhat questionable... ]
no subject
[He tips his hat to Adaine in his own quiet greeting.]
Not much, admittedly. My issues is I don't know a lot about Pokemon yet so right now I'm doing a tour of Johto and Kanto. Trying to see what and where would be just a good place to study. There is a way to look at that but I'm hoping to get funding before I have to resort to ad hoc ways.

I need to get out and do the same thing. Touring the region, I mean. I've mostly just been staying with my friend here in Saffron as I try to get my feet under me, but if I'm going to properly train my new team, I know sooner or later, I'll have to hit the road.
no subject
If it helps, it's really nice touring. Helps that adventuring in the Pokemon world feels easier that touring normally, at least compared to where I'm from. More things are convenient and/or cheaper... or even free. There are wild Pokemon, sure, but it's fine. A good way to get to know your team.
[As an introvert and a guy who generally likes nature, Jotaro's a fan.]

Maybe it may help if you travel around with a couple of friends as well as your Pokemon. At least until you get used to things.
no subject
[ She's been hesitant to ask Riz if he wanted to travel with her, since he's gotten so comfortable living in Saffron all these years he's been here without her. But if she doesn't hit the road soon, she'll never be able to get anywhere on her own. ]
In any case, I'll keep your notes safe here in Saffron until we can meet. [
Or, she'll keep them safe with her in Paldea until they can meet there instead!]no subject
Sounds good. I'll catch you then. Thank you once more. [
He'll be bouncing around the western part of Paldea for the first half of the month and then helping injured Pokemon in Tagtree Thicket.]
