[Anon Text - locked from Scar]
[It's ass o'clock in the night sometime, and apparently Wrath the network's resident Mystery Misspeller has been doing a lot of thinking. He may be breaking his cover a bit here... but he can't keep ignoring the inevitable.]
IF you had nott seen yor frends fore a very long tym, onle to encountr them HERE in this world....... wat would u do???
this kwestion may seem obvius but i shold add that these frends and i were not vary good to each other

-SHOOTING (WITH GUN)
-STABBING
-HITTING AND KICKING REPETEDLY
-SAYING MEAN THING'S
-LYING
[While it won't be immediately evident when the post goes up, it should be noted that Wrath pauses here. Hm... he doesn't want to make it too obvious who he is. He needs to put some other stuff in there, to throw off the scent.]
[He opens PsyDuckDuckGo and types, painstakingly with his one hand that the touchscreen will actually register, "LIST OF CRIMES"]
-TRESPASSING
-MANSLAUGHTER
-FELONY TAX EVASION
-PUBLIC INDECENCY
-MONEY LAUNDERING
-GRAND THEFT AUTO
-CREDIT CARD FRAUD
-IDENTITY THEFT
-RESISTING ARREST
-ARSON

LOL. This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while!
You guys did all those terrible things to each other and yet you consider them your friends?
If you really feel sorry for what you did, then you should try to apologize and show you mean it. It's up to them whether they accept it or not.
[Still anon, and now locked!] HAHA I'M SO GLAD
yes... its complycated
we r monsters adn our master told us to
but we still did them ov our own volishon
i am definitly sory... i hav had alot of tym to think about it
no subject
Oh.
Do they know you're here yet?
no subject
i hav stayed anonymus fore that reson.......
i am not sure if all of them r even here
no subject
no subject
but i hav seen one of them
so its posybl the others r still here as well
[HM! "Still here" is a bit different from just "here".]
no subject
If I knew who they are, I might know if I've seen any of them around. I get it if you don't want to say, though.
no subject
[He's locked this particular thread, sure, but... well, technically he doesn't know this isn't someone he knows. The guy who'd helped him boil water back on Route 29 ended up being SCAR, after all.]
hm
first what is yor name

[Goldenrod City! That was home-- had been home, to him at least, for the entire duration of his previous time in this world. And... home to them, too. They had shared it.]
they lived in a house there
when i was here befor
[But he swallows hard, finger hovering over the screen. He's not sure if he's ready to take that plunge. This Radley fellow could know them, or he could not... Lust always had numerous friends and acquaintances outside of the house... Envy a little less so... but they'd both had coworkers from the circus.]
[He's so afraid to know, one way or another.]
[But finally...]
envy and lust
a
nd alfonse elric
[That last one was especially hard to type.]
it was
a long tym ago i think
[The trees around Lust's little cottage in Violet City were taller now than he remembered.]
no subject
Hmm. I do know of Lust. I went to her Halloween show a couple of years ago. We don't really associate, though. She's still here, as far as I know. I don't know about the others.
no subject
[LUST CONFIRMED]
[#LUST #CONFIRMED #LUSTCONFIRMED]
[This is both exciting... and, for several reasons, utterly terrifying.]
[Because out of everyone in that house... Lust is the one he feels he's wronged the most irreparably.]
[But she was happy here... she was alive, here. And that's still good... even if he feels terrible.]
that is her
she all ways lyked making a show for haloween
[...She was the one who taught him what Halloween was...]
pleas dont tell her any one asked
i dont know what to do yet
no subject
I won't say anything. I'll leave it up to you to say something if you decide to.
no subject
[His hands are shaking.]
[It will take him a little while to process this new information.]
no subject
Sure. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
[anon text]
[Actually he does kind of wonder if maybe he was wrong about it being a horse after all with a post like this but good luck getting him to admit that! He still doesn't suspect who this might actually be, even though the situation sounds kind of familiar. Horse had already said they weren't ever here before, and Envy's met a lot of people with uncannily similar stories to theirs. This is coming across a little too thoughtful for Wrath, anyway.]
[And besides, more importantly...even if he did suspect, he doesn't really think that out of the two of them, WRATH would need to be the one worried about being forgiven.]
[But this kind of worry IS something he'd experienced to some degree when Lust had arrived.]
that sure is a lot of crimes.
but you never know, sometimes old friends are just happy that you're different and trying to do better. I'd go find them and see what happens.
[anon text]
ya.... its a lot
[:(]
i hav thot about it but i am a litl afrayd that they may not b here after all
i hav technicaly onle seen 1
[anon text]
and if meeting with the one works out, then they might vouch for you with the others too if they're here. that's what happened for me.
you'll never know if you don't go and look though
[anon text]
i donot know.... the 1 i saw probaly has less reson 2 beleve me than any1
[At least with the other Homunculi, they'd all hurt each other. But Scar had never laid a finger on Wrath, or done anything worse than be a little intimidating (and stop him from serving Lust garbage soup that one time).]
did u meet any1 that u have kill'd personaly
[anon text]
yes. but it's not really what you're asking about because we weren't ever friends.
[Even if Edward had been kind of weirdly chill about it from what he remembers?? Although Maes Hughes had been pretty mad. It's still not the same because Envy hadn't exactly been seeking forgiveness or friendship from either.]
but a few were ones I did almost worse to than kill and it worked out. even if it wasn't right away.
[Greed, for one. Wrath.
Alphonse.]this place is good for second chances
[anon text]
ya i guess that is diferent
i am not so worryd about meeting those i kill'd who were true enemys
[It's the complicated ones that are making his stomach knot into a pretzel, he couldn't care less about the occasional rando he was sicc'd on during his time as Dante's rabid attack dog. (Which, uh, maybe he should care a LITTLE more about that, but there's only so much shame and regret he can cram into his little skull, and it's already full to bursting).]
i know this is a good place
but
it dosent feel like a place i am suposed to be
[He's not supposed to be anywhere, anymore.]
[anon text]
this place is where you are
[anon text]
[Deep down, and not even so deep down that he's not aware of it... he knows that's a good thing. That he loved this place. That he'd had a life here, and ONLY here.
That maybe this would even be what his mother wanted for him... more than for him to join her.][But he'd spent so long with that as the only (literal OR figurative) light at the end of the tunnel in his heart, it's hard to accept the gift of a second chance.]
i shold b grateful....
but its hard
living is v
very p
it just hurts
[anon text]
[Although this is rapidly approaching very uncomfortable levels of personal for Envy when it comes to discussions with anonymous strangers! He is sort of holding the 'Gear like it's become radioactive, and does call out a very awkward "Luuuust? ....Heatherrr?" into the house. He's not sure if they're even around but...HELP. HE'S NOT THE GUY FOR THIS LEVEL OF EMOTIONAL SENSITIVITY.]
yeah it can
but you haven't been here very long
you don't need to be supposed to be here or be grateful. sometimes it's enough to just be alive
[anon text]
[SORRY ENVY.]
i realy dont want to be alive. but i donot hav a choyce, i know i have to b
[He looks over at the two Pokemon next to him on the sofa in the corner of the Violet Pokemon Center lobby. Son is curled up into a little ball, holding his bone like a teddy, and Bullet is sitting on him with her head tucked under her wing.]
so i wil keep going
[anon text]
[He is, in fact, historically really bad at giving advice about this.]
yeah definitely keep going
see if you can find your old friends
if they're not here you can make new ones people here love friendship
[THERE THERE???]
[anon text]
i am
not so worried about that
pepl r nicer here
[Most of the time, anyway.]
[But getting thrown out of buildings is a far more mild reaction to Wrath's everything than military manhunts and violence.]
i will thynk about trying 2 find my old friends
i am still a litl afrayd i guess
[anon text]
even if you were all doing terrible things to each other before, maybe they're nicer too
this place rubs off on people
[anon text]
a few were nys
[Winry, mainly. Winry and her grandmother. They had both been very kind.]
[And the reborn Alphonse... when he wasn't busy hyperfixating on his alchemy, anyway.]
[
And Mommy had tried. But he hadn't let her get close enough.][Thinking about any of them makes his stomach hurt.]
there r more nys pepl here
and u r rite, mean pepl get nicer somtyms too
i supose i am 1 of those
[anon text]
[He wonders if he ought to ask for a description of whoever these people are...but nah. He's been kind of a hermit for a while, he probably wouldn't know 'em.]
yeah, you're not the only one
[He doesn't send his next message right away, waffles over actually hitting the button. A lot more than he had about telling this same person their brain was imminently going to turn into a raisin. Being nice! Is! Way harder than trolling! Thank Arceus for anonymous texting. Nobody's going to catch him being SINCERE to a RANDOM EVIL(?) HORSE!]
take the chance. it's worth it even if you've done [quick scroll back up to check the Crime List] felony tax evasion.
good luck
[anon text]
[Likewise, it's a little bit before Wrath sends his own reply. It's not a long one... but it is in earnest. Despite not being particularly cut out for emotionally complex talks... Envy really hasn't done half bad.
Especially in comparison to their first conversation after Wrath's previous arrival here in Johto.]thank u
[He's got a lot of food for thought.]
text; anonymous
[said from experience. ha. ha... don't ask.]
text;
and we were all vary un happy about it back in owr world
or vary dead about it
no subject
Life and death matters certainly complicate things, but I can assure you that even those may be forgiven, if both parties are willing to move forward.
no subject
[That was where it was a little complicated, and he's not sure how to easily explain it in a way that won't just give rise to more questions. But it sure is surreal... to have been here and reconciled with your
undead multi-level-marketing cultdysfunctional family once, only to go back and wind up hurting and being hurt by those same people even worse than before. And knowing, now, how pointless and cruel it had all been! To everybody!]but most of us had all ready kill'd each other
or could no longer listen
[Would he have apologized to Gluttony for killing Lust, had it been an option? He doesn't really know... but it was fucked up that it hadn't been.]
no subject
I used to ask myself that very same thing.
no subject
you did ?
did yuo ever find out the anser?
no subject
Not for all of them. But I HAVE met a few of them here. And it turned out I wasn't the only one who'd changed and knows better.
no subject
but back then i had notte hurt them so badle
[He'd considered trying to hide the fact that he'd been here before... but it's too hard to talk frankly about this issue without mentioning it, even if only vaguely.]
[Here, they'd been a family-- or at least the closest to a real one that any of them could hope for. ... And then he'd returned to their world, murdered one of that family directly, and gone on to be instrumental in the deaths of at least two more. If it hadn't been for the two years between Lust's death and his re-arrival here, the brutal cognitive dissonance of the memories colliding might have broken his mind completely.]
now i donot kno if knowing beter is enoufh
no subject
And I think you do feel badly about it.
We can't change what we've done, but we can say we're sorry and do better. And I'm sure if you really mean it, your friends will understand and forgive you.
Now LOCKED
[And he only knows how to deal with feelings a LITTLE better than he did two years ago!]
[In fact, he almost doesn't remember to lock this before he goes on to elaborate-- but he can't keep this part to himself any longer.]
i killed 1 of them
we were frends here but back in owr world we had becom enemys and then i went back and we fote adn i won and she dyed
i donnnt knoww how to sttrt evn ifshsa
[.... SORRY ABOUT THE CRYTYPING, ROSE...]
LOCKED
That's a very heavy weight to carry. But if you were friends once, there's a chance you can be friends again.
It's alright. Try taking deep breaths. They're very calming.
LOCKED
[After a few minutes, he responds.]
sory
i am ok now
[Or at least able to see what he's typing.]
were yor frends angre at first when u met them again ?
text; not anon because dimitri still hasn't learned technology
[Listen. He was sympathetic with, like... five of those first things, and one is off the list simply because gunpowder technology hasn't reached Fodlan yet for some mysterious reason.]
[But there's]
[There's a lot here]
text; still anon lol
[UMMMM....]
ya
no subject
But stealing one another's identity.... I think that may be a truly heinous crime. Intimate in a way that is hard to put into words.
Did you or the other person do these things, or did you do them to one another?
[YEAH THE IDENTITY THEFT IS WORSE THAN MURDER.]
[LISTEN.]
[LISTEN.]
no subject
wel
we al did thys a litl i supose
[They were after all repeatedly accused by a very angry little blond guy of being cheap fakes wearing the stolen faces of the ones their creators had actually wanted.]
1 frend in perticular was vary good at it and did it a lot he coud prety much stele ane identite he wanted
i coud not do it lyk him but i was planing on trying a diferent way
i did not succede tho and i was punished severly
fore the record

[Dimitri's "small child on their own who was never taught to spell" senses are tingling. They weren't uncommon, back in Faerghus, and Fodlan as a whole really - the war meant that literary education fell to the wayside when there were more important matters to attend to. You know. Like trying not to starve, or get murdered by bandits or, worse, the Empire.]
[Still... This is anonymous. So he won't say too much, and does his best to simply take that information as context.]
I see. Sometimes punishments do help us realize when we have done something truly awful. It can be difficult to understand but I do hope that you learned not to do that again.
Although I think maybe it may be good for you to not hang out with the person who is very good at stealing identities. They sound like they may be mean to you or make you think to do bad things again.
You said you weren't sure if you should be forgiven. Does that mean you have forgiven these friends as well?
no subject
[It's a little while before Dimitri gets a response, because his words actually prove to be some HEAVY material to chew on.]
[Envy was mean to him. Envy did make him do bad things. Envy had, in fact, been Wrath's entire gateway into that entire mess. And his freshest memories of the eldest Homunculus are painful ones. (Literally. That's what the 'hitting and kicking repeatedly' bulletpoint on the list was for).]
[But there are other memories. Ones that, despite the way this world peels time apart into strands and then tangles them up however it pleases, Wrath knows are more real.]
[Here, without the shadow of 'You-Know-Who' looming over their shoulder for each decision, Envy chose to be kind.]
its tru he was mean
they all were mean
but here it was diferent
we coud all b nys to each other without getting punished
[Punished for bad deeds, punished for good deeds... the life of a Homunculus was in fact rife with punishment.]
i under stand more now than i did be4 why we hurt each other so much
