[It's ass o'clock in the night sometime, and apparently Wrath the network's resident Mystery Misspeller has been doing a lot of thinking. He may be breaking his cover a bit here... but he can't keep ignoring the inevitable.]

IF you had nott seen yor frends fore a very long tym, onle to encountr them HERE in this world....... wat would u do???

this kwestion may seem obvius but i shold add that these frends and i were not vary good to each other

-SAYING MEAN THING'S
-LYING

[While it won't be immediately evident when the post goes up, it should be noted that Wrath pauses here. Hm... he doesn't want to make it too obvious who he is. He needs to put some other stuff in there, to throw off the scent.]

[He opens PsyDuckDuckGo and types, painstakingly with his one hand that the touchscreen will actually register, "LIST OF CRIMES"]

-TRESPASSING
-MANSLAUGHTER
-FELONY TAX EVASION
-PUBLIC INDECENCY
-MONEY LAUNDERING
-GRAND THEFT AUTO
-CREDIT CARD FRAUD
-IDENTITY THEFT

crystalmaster: (Radley_confused)

LOL. This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while!

[personal profile] crystalmaster 2024-08-06 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[Well. Exactly what does one do when faced with such a post? Radley just kind of stares at it for a long time. Part of him wonders if it's an elaborate joke or trolling, especially after the list of crimes switches to being noticeably spelled correctly and somehow starts seeming more ridiculous even though some of those aren't nearly as serious. (Or maybe that's a large part of why it seems more ridiculous.) But ... well, he assumes this is the person who didn't eat their lunch, since he hasn't seen such bad spelling before or since, and he was pretty sure that conversation was sincere and not trolling. Still, he has to ask: ]

You guys did all those terrible things to each other and yet you consider them your friends?

If you really feel sorry for what you did, then you should try to apologize and show you mean it. It's up to them whether they accept it or not.
crystalmaster: (Radley_confused)

[personal profile] crystalmaster 2024-08-06 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[Radley would definitely be pleased!]

Oh.

Do they know you're here yet?
crystalmaster: (Radley_what)

[personal profile] crystalmaster 2024-08-07 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. So have you seen any of them here yet or is this just a hypothetical question on what to do if they happen to show up?
crystalmaster: (Radley_what)

[personal profile] crystalmaster 2024-08-07 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
[With the high turnover among those coming and those leaving, Radley doesn't find the statement too strange. Although ... perhaps it indicates the person did know they were here in the past and just doesn't know if it's still true now?]

If I knew who they are, I might know if I've seen any of them around. I get it if you don't want to say, though.

I'm Radley. I run an Eevee Cafe in Goldenrod City.

[personal profile] crystalmaster 2024-08-07 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
[Radley ponders that a moment.]

Hmm. I do know of Lust. I went to her Halloween show a couple of years ago. We don't really associate, though. She's still here, as far as I know. I don't know about the others.
crystalmaster: (Default)

[personal profile] crystalmaster 2024-08-07 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Not that Radley is likely to see her anyway, but of course he will agree.]

I won't say anything. I'll leave it up to you to say something if you decide to.
crystalmaster: (Default)

[personal profile] crystalmaster 2024-08-07 06:28 am (UTC)(link)
[Radley will give him time to start processing it.]

Sure. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

[Isn't...isn't this the horse? WHAT KIND OF SHIT WAS THE HORSE UP TO?]

[Actually he does kind of wonder if maybe he was wrong about it being a horse after all with a post like this but good luck getting him to admit that! He still doesn't suspect who this might actually be, even though the situation sounds kind of familiar. Horse had already said they weren't ever here before, and Envy's met a lot of people with uncannily similar stories to theirs. This is coming across a little too thoughtful for Wrath, anyway.]

[And besides, more importantly...even if he did suspect, he doesn't really think that out of the two of them, WRATH would need to be the one worried about being forgiven.]

[But this kind of worry IS something he'd experienced to some degree when Lust had arrived.]

that sure is a lot of crimes.

but you never know, sometimes old friends are just happy that you're different and trying to do better. I'd go find them and see what happens.
exeggutorhead: (hey kid want some drugs)

[anon text]

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2024-08-06 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
well one is a start.

and if meeting with the one works out, then they might vouch for you with the others too if they're here. that's what happened for me.

you'll never know if you don't go and look though
exeggutorhead: (what I am and what I was)

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2024-08-06 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[...WELP]

yes. but it's not really what you're asking about because we weren't ever friends.

[Even if Edward had been kind of weirdly chill about it from what he remembers?? Although Maes Hughes had been pretty mad. It's still not the same because Envy hadn't exactly been seeking forgiveness or friendship from either.]

but a few were ones I did almost worse to than kill and it worked out. even if it wasn't right away.

[Greed, for one. Wrath. Alphonse.]

this place is good for second chances

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2024-08-07 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
wherever you think you're supposed to be doesn't really matter

this place is where you are
exeggutorhead: (NOOO I DIDN'T KILL YOUR BEST FRIEND NOT)

[anon text]

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2024-08-07 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Wow, this horse has really been through it, huh?]

[Although this is rapidly approaching very uncomfortable levels of personal for Envy when it comes to discussions with anonymous strangers! He is sort of holding the 'Gear like it's become radioactive, and does call out a very awkward "Luuuust? ....Heatherrr?" into the house. He's not sure if they're even around but...HELP. HE'S NOT THE GUY FOR THIS LEVEL OF EMOTIONAL SENSITIVITY.]

yeah it can

but you haven't been here very long

you don't need to be supposed to be here or be grateful. sometimes it's enough to just be alive
exeggutorhead: (OHSHI--)

[anon text]

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2024-08-07 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
[This is not nearly as easy a situation for Envy to give advice about as "I'm clearly dehydrated". Or even "uh oh I've committed one million crimes what should I do?"]

[He is, in fact, historically really bad at giving advice about this.]

yeah definitely keep going

see if you can find your old friends

if they're not here you can make new ones people here love friendship

[THERE THERE???]
exeggutorhead: (well this is kinda awkward)

[anon text]

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2024-08-07 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
don't know what people were like where you're from, but they're nicer here than anything I've ever seen

even if you were all doing terrible things to each other before, maybe they're nicer too

this place rubs off on people
exeggutorhead: (well this is kinda awkward)

[personal profile] exeggutorhead 2024-08-07 07:53 am (UTC)(link)
[You and him both, traumatized mystery texter!]

[He wonders if he ought to ask for a description of whoever these people are...but nah. He's been kind of a hermit for a while, he probably wouldn't know 'em.]

yeah, you're not the only one

[He doesn't send his next message right away, waffles over actually hitting the button. A lot more than he had about telling this same person their brain was imminently going to turn into a raisin. Being nice! Is! Way harder than trolling! Thank Arceus for anonymous texting. Nobody's going to catch him being SINCERE to a RANDOM EVIL(?) HORSE!]

take the chance. it's worth it even if you've done [quick scroll back up to check the Crime List] felony tax evasion.

good luck

you would be amazed what people are capable of forgiving.

[said from experience. ha. ha... don't ask.]

were you forgiven by those you are worried about here?

Life and death matters certainly complicate things, but I can assure you that even those may be forgiven, if both parties are willing to move forward.
lifebloomsanew: (i believe)

[personal profile] lifebloomsanew 2024-08-11 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
That's a very big question, isn't it?

I used to ask myself that very same thing.
lifebloomsanew: (i believe)

[personal profile] lifebloomsanew 2024-08-12 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
I did. There were lots of reasons my friends from long ago might be upset with me or very angry. I've changed, I know better now, but how could they know that?

Not for all of them. But I HAVE met a few of them here. And it turned out I wasn't the only one who'd changed and knows better.
lifebloomsanew: (default)

[personal profile] lifebloomsanew 2024-08-15 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Knowing better is a very big part of it. So is feeling badly about it.

And I think you do feel badly about it.

We can't change what we've done, but we can say we're sorry and do better. And I'm sure if you really mean it, your friends will understand and forgive you.
lifebloomsanew: (i believe)

LOCKED

[personal profile] lifebloomsanew 2024-08-18 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I know what that feels like.

That's a very heavy weight to carry. But if you were friends once, there's a chance you can be friends again.

It's alright. Try taking deep breaths. They're very calming.

[personal profile] nastyboy 2024-08-11 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
You stole one another's identities and did fraud to one another?

[Listen. He was sympathetic with, like... five of those first things, and one is off the list simply because gunpowder technology hasn't reached Fodlan yet for some mysterious reason.]

[But there's]

[There's a lot here]
nastyboy: (Interviewer: You have a 5 year gap)

[personal profile] nastyboy 2024-08-11 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Well that may be one the largest obstacles yet to you reconciling with the other party. It is one thing to say cruel words in the heat of the moment or even cause bodily harm to one another. In many cases, that cannot be harmed.

But stealing one another's identity.... I think that may be a truly heinous crime. Intimate in a way that is hard to put into words.

Did you or the other person do these things, or did you do them to one another?

[YEAH THE IDENTITY THEFT IS WORSE THAN MURDER.]

[LISTEN.]

[LISTEN.]
nastyboy: (I feel bad for anyone who has ever)

[personal profile] nastyboy 2024-08-11 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hm....]

[Dimitri's "small child on their own who was never taught to spell" senses are tingling. They weren't uncommon, back in Faerghus, and Fodlan as a whole really - the war meant that literary education fell to the wayside when there were more important matters to attend to. You know. Like trying not to starve, or get murdered by bandits or, worse, the Empire.]

[Still... This is anonymous. So he won't say too much, and does his best to simply take that information as context.]

I see. Sometimes punishments do help us realize when we have done something truly awful. It can be difficult to understand but I do hope that you learned not to do that again.

Although I think maybe it may be good for you to not hang out with the person who is very good at stealing identities. They sound like they may be mean to you or make you think to do bad things again.

You said you weren't sure if you should be forgiven. Does that mean you have forgiven these friends as well?
